Sky quite aggressively priced for a change.
£15 a month. 30 day contract.
F1TV Pro = $80 = £63.18ish
Nord VPN 1 year plan £82.63
Totals £145.81
Based on 10 months. I'd only be saving £4.19 going the VPN route.
I realise this is only a saving if you already have Sky TV and aren't planning to get rid of it.
If they included the audio stream that isn't the ignorant fat oaf yelling at the TV I'd be in. I don't enjoy faffing around I'd rather say take my money and give me what i want reliably.£15 a month. 30 day contract.

We've been at the in-laws for a couple of weeks and now theyre in my hose, I never thought about how much many people enjoy short attention span moronvisionTV. And theyre nice, intelligent and articulate poeple.
I also hate "crofty" but i do like Martin Brundles commentary, so I can suffer it as long as Martin's keeping him in check.

I've thought about it. It's the first year I'm not going to bother. Feel quite sad about it, but the experience no longer justifies either the cost or time (for me, others will of course think differently).
Hope I'm wrong and you all have a great season to watch.
You can sign up for a monthly subscription rather than annual & just terminate it if you're still not feeling it after a few races. That's what I did last year. Hope I'm wrong and you all have a great season to watch.
There’s a change of broadcaster in the Middle East region, F1 have done a decade-long deal with the hated BeIn Sports, which isn’t available on most cable services, only on satellite or for Sky-like prices online, in a package that includes Prem League football and a whole load of other sports.
Thanksfully it’s a non-exclusive deal though, so I’m a new F1TV subscriber as of this morning, no VPN required! Let’s see how it goes.

Mines working perfectly with Nord and Firestick / PC / phone here in Holland. The procedure is a long way back in this thread. Worth a search if you are starting out.
I do get an occasional BM2001 error message. Going to language in settings and putting it to English, even though its already in English, fixes it.

After decades with them, I left Sky last year. Was a little unsure about F1TV but after using it the last few days I have to say I'm impressed.
When used with multiviewer, the experience is much improved over Sky, qualifying is more enjoyable when you can see the micro and full sector times for all the drivers.
Icing on the cake is not having Crofty shouting at me for an hour.

Get multiviewer installed and hook up a few spare monitors...

Edit: First impressions are good, watching the support races in Bahrain and the replay of F1 qualifying from last night.
Quite the library of historic races, as well as magazine shows and analysis shows around the race weekend as well. Cheaper than the previous option too, $85 for the year.

I was linked up to a company by my brother in law . All done via a fire stick and a subscription of £40 per year . Full sky and many other products except box office and the paid for one off special events. I was very lucky to get in as they closed new subscriptions as they have reached capacity.
You have to join a certain email service (free) but the do give you a daily list of sports events.
Oh you do need a fairly modern smart TV and decent broadband/ WiFi for it all to work.
Including a later model Fire stick it's the best £70 I have spent for viewing sport on TV .
I do find that I watch more live streaming via YouTube of race meetings done by the individual clubs .

As for pixelating complaints ours (Nord) went "pixelly" briefly a couple of times during the race but otherwise fine, not even sure it wasn't transmission side issues.

Does anybody know if the testing is on F1TV?
It is.I didn't get around to doing it for testing and after yesterday, I won't be bothering.
I watched it on CH4, having been otherwise occupied all day, so unaware of the result.
I gather Sky’s all day of ‘wall-to-wall’ broadcasting and the race were quite boring, so catching up with the condensed highlights in the evening, after dinner, was quite pleasant.
They even had Logan Roy (Brian Cox) on the team

Didn't know who Brian Cox was. I thought it was Colonel Sanders making a pitiful attempt at injecting some intrigue into an inevitable outcome. What time is/was F1 on Ch4, looking at the schedual and can't see it?I gather Sky’s all day of ‘wall-to-wall’ broadcasting and the race were quite boring, so catching up with the condensed highlights in the evening, after dinner, was quite pleasant.

All seems very legal and above board. You have to join a certain email service (free) but the do give you a daily list of sports events.
