Government Ending War On Motorist !
Discussion
And the green party start their clamour against anything that could be seen as soft on motorists. fkwits!
The worrying thing is that as this country gets ever more PC the chances of greens being elected increases, and they could form part of a future coalition. God help us...single policy politics is always dangerous.

What a load of twaddle....yeah sure the government are encouraging Councils to cut back on parking charges and the moon is made of blue cheese.
In Ealing our parking permit charge has gone up by 60% as of the first of January from £25 to £40 per annum.....who knows maybe they were going to put it up by 100% or more and then they were encouraged to only put it up 60%.....thieving no good 'feckers the lot of them.

Total horlicks if they want to end the "war on motorists" they would stop
the charging of vat ON TOP OF fuel duty tax on a tax (which i thought was illegal?)
Or scrap the useless VED and absorb it to general taxation seeing as thats what its
used for anyhow. and the disks are useless as an officer has only to enquire
on the pnc to check the motors status. making the disk redundant and a waste
of paper so they could dress it up as a green initiative.

Its a start.
It was never the brightest of ideas building houses with no parking as folk just park on the street and argue with the nieghbours
When moving back up here I left the task to the Mrs and MIL to search for houses. excitedly they told me they had found a new house and it was perfect. It was never the brightest of ideas building houses with no parking as folk just park on the street and argue with the nieghbours
great I drive 150 miles up to view this house as I drive up to the house I notice a little car park at the begining of the estate. Hmm whats all that about I think. The house itself had one parking spot. The roads were so narrow you couldnt park outside if you wanted to but you were not allowed to anyway.
I pointed out to the mrs that we had 3 cars and was she happy walking to a carpark down the street every time she wanted to go somewhere... that ended that.
silly silly idea. I bit of common sense at last from a government.
