I agree mental money I tried everywhere to obtain bearing but its Lambo only with controlled supply even considered having one made no luck
It's a push type as in constantly working when in gear as opposed to just when selecting so gets a lot of workload and has a lesser lifespan as a result

I adored my car and miss her dreadfully but must admit the clutch issue was a sour note

Madness, like you say getting one made can't be that much.
I had similar issue with the 360 ball joints, I can source the bearing at about £50 but they need a small amount of grinding in order to fit the "top hats" @ £80 an hour ....
How much a flights to Taiwan ? Could get a suitcase load made with German steel for a fiver :-)

I'm getting more and more tempted to bite the bullet on one of these, and will be in a position to do so in March when new garage is built. ( If a perfect one came up now, I could store it.)
I'm looking for one which is useable, more than as a collector's piece/investment, so what's the verdict on the different models, and what are the real price differences between them? ( Ideally will be one which has been reasonably used but well looked after and documented,)
If I was choosing between an 5000s, a QV, or an Anniversary, what's the pluses/minuses in terms of maintenance/parts? Is the Anniversary, being the latest, the easiest to keep, or is it just extra body kit? (I do find it a bit fussy to look at)
Also, the asking prices seem to be £125k (as per classifieds) - £150k. Is that what's being paid?
Is there a particular dealer to source a good one? I'm in Scotland, is it worth talking to Top Gear?
Thanks...

@Paulqv, no, do not know Paul Hill personally. I too have purchased parts from him before. His company is not far from my home. It might be worth to start a dialogue with him.
I'm also interested to explore kevlar clutch. As the longivity appeals. However I'm not in need yet, just thinking ahead.
Cheers

Hi footsoldier. I've been keeping an eye on the market globally for some time. I recently picked up my new lhd QV 4 weeks back. I disagree with Paul as examples that have sold in the UK recently were north of 125k.
If you manage to broker a deal between private parties, you may get a better price. However, not many for sale. I even hear theres a deal happening on the Amari 5000s.
Recently, 2 cars sold at furlonger. 88.5 car at oakfields and possibly the Amari car.
Cars are in demand. Harry Metcalfe is to blame. he loves his and has brought them into the public domain again.
Good luck in your search. Drop me a line if you wish.
regards

correction: 14 RHD imported into the UK in 1988.
So are you saying there were more RHD than 14 but only 14 came to UK? I'm talking specifically the 88 1/2 model here. I thought there were only 14 RHD of them in the world and that Portman Lamborghini were the official importer of these- in fact the only UK importer at the time.Gassing Station | Lamborghini Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
