Caen to Le Mans - Thursday am

Hi all

Apologies if this is repeating anything that's already been said but I'm an infrequent Pistonheads visitor...

A group of us are getting the Wednesday overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Caen. Are there any stop-off points en route that people tend to congregate at on the Thursday morning, as it would be great to check out some of the cars etc?
