Does anybody know what the startermotor is off because mine is screeching, is it possible to change the little cog("bendix"?) on its own? presuming thats all that has worn ??
The starter motor screeching is likely to be the dog clutch refusing to disingange after the engine has started. Unfortunately this will destroy the startermotor in fairly short order. It is however easy to remedy with a good clean up and a bit of grease. However likely the starter motor has to come out to achieve it.
ok ive had the starter out three times now, cleaned it up etc and found one of the brushes stuck in, but still no luck. So i,ve been matching them up to other models and found it is the same as a Nissan Maxima 3.0 inj V6 88 -94 J30 model

Olly, I think you should get this on your table, especially as the man has done the hard grunt and found the right starter motor, fitted it and it works, tried and tested so to speak!
i recently baught a high torque starter from eurolec,who recon they supply tvr direct,
a baring fell out of it in to the clutch, theyve replaced the starter but refused to have anything to do with the rest of the dammage and labour to strip the clutch,and the month its been off the road, any one know what i can do?

Guys, I want to put this on Part Number thread.
So just to confirm I have read this correctly:
The part number is PTC 130/30 (is that original part number?)
RS stock number is 455-3744
This gives you the contact options of NC or NO, cerbera needs NC so discard NO.
brown wire = nc
green = no
white = common
