hi, don't suppose anyone can help me out who's been before, but i understand obv it's a hill climb, so it's a hill lol, but is any of it like level ground for the cars on show etc? just have some accessibility issues. thanks
Hi - most of the carpark is hard standing / tarmac although the odd person parks on the grass. The different car parks are level themselves, but there's a gradient in between them that can be quite steep (but is also tarmac). Hope that helps, but feel free to ask any specific questions.

Before I sign up, any information on noise limits and testing? .
I’ve done 3 of these events now and never seen anyone sound tested. I’ve no idea if there are drive by and if so what the limit is but plenty of loud cars going up, numerous tuned Exiges, Lambos, rally cars with antilag banging away, a spectacularly loud Ultima, vintage stuff that barely has an exhaust etc. I’d be shocked if you were turned away or chucked off

No. They didn’t even want me wearing one in the Ariel!
Oh great, thanks. Also I plan to take 3 different people up the hill as passengers. They’ll all need a RS Clubman free license??MDifficult said:

Most visitors park on the grass, the grass car parks are not level. To see most of the track it’s a fairly steep walk so you may be limited to seeing the straightish run to the bridge. The bridge over the track has steps, so you may have to go down behind the start line to cross from car park to the paddock. Steps or slope up to the club house too. The paddock is also on a slope but is tarmac

When you say accessibility issues do you mean you have about 2mm ground clearance or you are wheelchair / crutch based? Car wise if low you will definitely want to be in the competitor / club parking. Maybe about 30-40% of this is tarmac, PH club parking was hard standing last year. But all of this side has low car friendly ground even if it is on a hillside. The spectator parking fields are rather rustic and if weather is not great people are often dragged out by 4x4 / quad bike / tractor.
If wheelchair bound again id try to avoid the spectator car parking. If I’m the paddock side you could just about see the start line without getting too adventurous, getting up to the main viewing area involves a gravel then grass path, only the one short rise in this path though so might be ok.
Happy to be corrected as presumably there must be some due to law or something but I can’t think of any handicap friendly loos etc if that would be required?

Trying to remember if their are disabled loos in the museum, that has more level access. Note it its buy a blot of the club parking on the grass above the paddock - that is very steepCar wise if low you will definitely want to be in the competitor / club parking. WHAT LIMITED MOBILITY FACILITIES ARE THERE?
The Club welcomes all who have an interest in motor sport, and is particularly anxious that those with limited mobility should also enjoy our events. While there are the obvious inherent limitations imposed by a hill climb venue, we do have regular visitors with varying degrees of mobility, particularly wheelchair users.
Access: A dedicated parking area for limited mobility drivers or passengers is available just inside our main entrance, with easy paved access into the paddock. Anyone who has particular issues, or is attending alone, is welcome to ring the Club office for advice before an event.
Toilet facilities: Adapted toilets are available in our restaurant and adjacent to the Club Office in the Paddock.
Viewing the action: Access is available throughout the main lower paddock, the upper paddock areas do involve a steep incline and may be inaccessible without assistance. The best viewing area is adjacent to the start line where there is a wooden deck, with adjacent kiosk serving drinks and light snacks.

Well the hill runs sold out quickly! Bugger!
I've edited your post for clarity – the hill runs have sold out but there's space for hundreds of cars for general entry, so plenty of tickets available for those that want to attend a Sunday Service in the usual fashion Use discount code PISTONHEADS24 to get your ticket in advance for £6 here.Jitstar said:
Forgive if I’ve missed this in the above, but if you have bought a ticket to run up the hill, do you still need a separate admission ticket for a passenger?
Great to see you'll be joining us Jit! A hill run pass includes a ticket for the driver, but everyone else will need a ticket.Gassing Station | Events & Meetings | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
