SPOTTED THREAD

I guess this counts as 'Spotted'
Aston Martin had a very good presence at the Festival of Speed causing a lot of interest, spread across three locations. On their show stand they had a DB12, DBS, DBX707, a Vantage F1 Safety Car, the AMR 23 F1 car. There'were also 3 or 4 Valkyries in the Supercar paddock plus some more DBX707s. I didn't spot the Valhalla and I expected to see the Valour. I was told that it was hidden somewhere under wraps only for VIPs to view which seemed odd. There was also a good display of 1950s era racing cars in the Brooklands Paddock which interested me the most; a DBR2 and two DB3Ss, just sublime!

On the A34 going north towards M4 in heavy rain. Overtaken by DB2/4 (or DB2?) with 67 racing number. I was doing...umm... approximately the national speed limit.
Respect!

Driving back from a day out at Bourton-on-the-Water today to see family, we were about a mile into our homeward journey when coming the other way along the A429 was an Aston Martin Valkyrie, this was at 16:15.
I couldn't believe my eyes, it looked incredibly small on the road but made up for it in noise and it wasn't being gunned.
Amazing I've seen one of these on the road in the wild way quicker than I saw a DBX.

Interesting BAE Vantare spotted in the upcoming HA Auction. Never knew this existed. Based on a DB9.
Interesting in that it demonstrates that scaling up the proportions of the DB5 to fit the wider and bigger platform of a DB9 results in an overly bloated, somewhat misproportioned car. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
