Its like a summers day here this morning. Rain forecast at 11am, 3 and 4pm.
Do I chance it? Last Monday was the only day this year I haven't gotten wet or cold.
You know exactly what will happen.Do I chance it? Last Monday was the only day this year I haven't gotten wet or cold.
You won’t go out and it will stay perfectly dry.
You will go out, you will get to the furthest point away from home and it will lash it down.
You will not be able to win either way.

Cheers, yeah I've lost my biking mojo a bit to be honest. I'm going to do what we do and throw money at it by buying some new kit and see if that helps
The old man's not as bad at the moment but his riding days are over I think but as he's not having treatment at the moment I'll have a bit more time so I'm hoping to get back into it a bit
Sorry to hear that, mate. The old man's not as bad at the moment but his riding days are over I think but as he's not having treatment at the moment I'll have a bit more time so I'm hoping to get back into it a bit

I'd washed my 125 and the MT 10 last night so I wasn't in the mood to get either of them dirty.
I'd noticed the neighbours hedge was a little bit over grown in the front garden and was starting to push the Pier cap off, anyway that turned into a major job that involved my neighbour across the road bringing out all sorts of power tools.
After that I cleaned all the facias and guttering at the front so I feel like I've done a full days graft.
Weather is forecast good for the rest of the week, I have a few jobs to do on the 125 and MT 10 so I'll not be out tomorrow and I'm at the limb centre on Wednesday.
'Twas my mate's charity bike show today The Stone Circle Bike Show - named after its first venue within Avebury stone circle) - weather forecast said it was going to be wet and ste... Rolled the freshly polished Laverda and Legend out of the shed and it started raining... Had a cuppa and by the time I'd finished me choc chip cookies, the rain had stopped. Lovely day 'til about half three; then wet roads and a bit of rain on the way home, but who cares what it's like at the end of the day... Bikes washed in the rain... there is no way they were going to make it up our lane in the wet without ending up plastered...
Even the missus didn't complain that it was too cold, and she has her own arctic micro climate about her!
Absolutely crackin' day.

I saw a couple of photos from yesterday's Hastings ride. Looked utterly bleak & miserable!
Also, the A21 was closed on a couple of spots during the day, apparently one a major accident involving motorcycle(s) & the other a major fuel spillage. Anybody from PH have any further information?
I'm just glad I gave it a miss....

Same. Took delivery of my new Pikes Peak on 2nd March and only done 450 miles. Running in service booked for 25th May before heading off to Croatia on 29th so I'm having to just nip out for a quick 50 miles when I can. Did that last night and it was wet and windy. I only ride motorbikes for pleasure so if it's wet and cold I've got cars for that.
To be fair we did have one dry weekend but we were away...
Other than that it's been utterly grim.
The service light will go on at 622 To be fair we did have one dry weekend but we were away...

(if you get it serviced before that it will come on at 622 anyway and then annoy you!)

I think I’ve managed 3 or 4 good rides this season and that’s about it.
Usually at this point in the year I’nm on to my 2nd rear tyre, but the tyre I fitted before the riding season began is barely even scrubbed in.
I probably shouldn't admit this, but the petrol sitting in my tank is the same petrol I put in there last August. Usually at this point in the year I’nm on to my 2nd rear tyre, but the tyre I fitted before the riding season began is barely even scrubbed in.
Iv been having lessons last few weeks to get my test done to ride the Triumph Trident 660 iv purchased with the hope of some nice sunny evening rides up in the Dales this 'summer'
Typically every bloody morning i was out with instructor i got drenched, then by time i was changed and back out to work afterwards the sun came out
Got lucky with a dry warmish afternoon last Friday which really helped improve my mood for the ride up to take my mod1 as i was seriously wondering if id wasted my money deciding to scratch the bike itch as hadn't been enjoying it in the wet, brought back memories of riding to work on a 125 in all weathers at 17 and how miserable that was until i could afford a car.
Fingers crossed its dry again on 10th/11th for my last lesson and mod 2!
