A picture a day... biker banter (Vol 6)
Discussion
Glorious day yesterday... so popped over to see how a mate's BSA B40 build is coming on. Sadly, nowt had happened since our last visit, due to his heart doc' telling him off... so he'd contented himself fitting apehangers to his A10.
But it did mean we had a pleasant bimble in the sunshine, t'other half has decided to keep my Legend, for now, so her old FXR will be going up for sale. Spent a bit of time giving it a clean, and it didn't come up bad for a well used, thirty five year old Harley.
But whilst taking pic's of it, my old Olympus camera, that I've carried with me pretty much everywhere for the past two decades, died. End of an era... in more ways than one.

Congratulations. I think the Norton Commando is a fantastic looking machine.Well if we’re doing helmets, this arrived on Friday. My previous Shoei Qwest had seen 10 years use and while the shell and hardware were still perfect, the fabric on the liner was starting to pull away from the foam backing.
Seems I’ve a Shoei shaped head so just ordered the same size again. In addition to the old Qwest full face I also have a Shoei open face. But decided this time, for the first time, I’d get a flip front so went for a Shoei Neotec 3.
The good news was it fitted, but jeez it weighs a ton! It’s so heavy (compared to the Qwest) that I think if I’d tried it on in a store I would have stuck with a regular full face. Of course maybe all flip fronts are heavier and the Shoei is no exception; I just didn’t expect so much more weight than a regular full face.
But the Sena SRL3 intercom is miles better than the old Cardo one with the Quest, and actually the helmet’s a whole lot quieter too…which surprised me.
But I have my barn-door screen set to just under eye level, but on a wee test run found myself looking through it rather than over it. With the weight of the helmet I was slouching down a couple of inches; need to make positive effort to sit straight and built these neck muscles.
Sorry, no fancy colours or graphics - just plain nondescript matt black…like my other helmets.
