Very disrespectful letting this story out while David Moyes is still our manager.
Whatever some think of DM he’s been good for us and deserves better imo.
Agreed.Whatever some think of DM he’s been good for us and deserves better imo.
In fact it’s absolutely fking disgraceful.

Luton next week will be odd for those there - especially if we lose again. I'll be at Spa, which will hopefully be more entertaining.

I’m feeling massively relieved.
I’d gone from vehemently Moyes in to Moyes Out this season. I’ve battling with giving up my season ticket due to the dreadful watch, against likely never getting it back if I do.
Also I never wanted it to turn ugly with Moyes, and any legacy he had being tarnished, but it was getting very very close to that.He can now go with a deserved send off,and we can all move on,not to necessarily bigger and better things, just to a point hopefully where we can less utterly painful football.
If only he’d been braver, who knows, but thanks and good luck.

I know you've had a rough few games but genuine question - you're ninth in the league.
I know fans will always want more but that doesn't seem far off where I'd have thought you'd be?
Europe aside, its been a rough two seasons. Most other teams fans seem to forget the turgid football last season and flirting with relegation until three games to go where we jumped up a few places to 14th. This season, we had some very freak results (everyone will tell you winning games like Chelsea and Arsenal where they battered us were freaks) which longer term is not a sustainable way to win games, and as last season, this calendar year we have fallen back into bottom third of the table form.I know fans will always want more but that doesn't seem far off where I'd have thought you'd be?
If he had a shoestring budget, huge injury list etc. he would of course get cut some slack, but its been the opposite, lots of luck with injuries and spent huge amounts of money. No one is begrudging him the cup win, it was amazing, and to be honest I enjoyed seeing him finally win something himself as much as WHU winning it. He is right, he has got WHU in a better place than when he joined, but I would hope nearly £500m on players would have achieved that aim lol
The thing is that proper WHU fans have seen the underlying issues setting in, the one dimensional tactics, the poor legacy building with such an old squad, lack of promotion and development of players, being unable to fully utilise players capabilities - and in 2024 the lacklustre work rate and general malaise in the way of playing. When we drew at home to Leverkusen, even though we lost the tie and went out, look at how the fans reacted - that sort of effort, performance, dynamism and passion has been totally absent for too long - something the manager is completely accountable for, he cant just blame the players. Its his team, that he built.
I would imagine Lopetegui is coming in as a head coach and Steidten is going to take on more of the transfer business etc.

4th from bottom on form 2nd half of season, conceded more goals than any but the bottom 3. Only won 4 games since Christmas, too many 4 nil, 5 nil defeats and the 6 nil thumping by Arsenal was the worst home defeat in my life as a supporter (and that's since 1964) ... it's pretty grim. Fortunately, we had a good start last year but to be honest we've been poor for a long time bolstered by success in Europe. I know fans will always want more but that doesn't seem far off where I'd have thought you'd be?

As a Wolves fan it'll be interesting to see how J-Lo is with you guys.
He did a job in keeping us up during a season when everyone had us pinned to go down.
He did however throw his toys out of the pram, continually whinged about not being able to spend much, and every week seemed to be doing media interviews where he'd keep going on about how he is in discussions with lots of "big clubs", while still being Wolves manager. He then left 3 days before the start of the season. He's very happy to suddenly just storm out in a strop
Generally seemed like he thought he was doing us a favour by being here, which when coupled with the absolutely awful football we played under him, means most Wolves fans don't think too highly of him.
After you guys having to watch Moyes-ball for so long, he'll need to completely bin off that play style or he won't last long with the fans.
I can see him either being a massive success or massive failure with WH, no middle ground
