Hi all!
pulled the trigger on the Tesla Y lease deal (tesla direct) - but now is the quandary of getting a home charger - any suggestions or recommendations? (i know this was discussed somewhere in the lease thread)
Also have switched to octopus energy so will move over to one of their EV tariffs!
thanks all
Hi, what spec did you go for. Really wanted the black on black however that increases the monthlies to £500pm+pulled the trigger on the Tesla Y lease deal (tesla direct) - but now is the quandary of getting a home charger - any suggestions or recommendations? Due to a change a circumstances, a family member has a BMW 118i M Sport Auto in Skyscrapper grey available in June for a 3 year, 6k a year lease.
On a 1+35, 6k per year, it’s £315 per month.
In the current climate, it’s a good deal and quick delivery.
It’s available to be transferred so if anyone is interested then send me a PM.

If you are going with Octopus intelligence then I would go with a charger that works with that tariff rather than the car. pulled the trigger on the Tesla Y lease deal (tesla direct) - but now is the quandary of getting a home charger - any suggestions or recommendations? I have a ipace and got a ID Buzz on the lease deal at Christmas so the Wallbox Pulsar plus was the choice for me. It integrates into the tariff so that no matter which car I plug in that the charger works with the tariff to decide the charging schedule.
Octopus and Tesla aren’t integrating well at the moment so I would head towards the Wallbox.
Any queries just ask and I’ll try to help.

Had a quote and finance approved from G2L for the new MG3 Hybrid Trophy on a 222 + 9 months and 270 admin over 47 months. It was all approved over 1 week ago. Got a message today that the dealers have increased their pricing. Now have a revised quote for 237 + 9 months and 270 admin over 47 months. Increase for over £800 over the term. Not good if dealers are getting greedy due to demand and keep changing pricing.

Re Tesla pricing, seems like Tesla have launched an offer on Model 3
The best pricing is based on 4 years (which isn't so much of an issue as they have a 4 year warranty) but is a bit unusual.
So based on 9+47 for 10,000 miles per year and including VAT.
Model 3 Standard Range £498
Model 3 Long Range £599
So it is the equivalent of about £100/month more than the comparable Model Y. Business pricing is pretty much just removing the VAT. There was no improved offer on the Performance version as far as I could tell, so I presume these are selling fine at the moment.
I've been saying the Model 3 was overdue for some more competitive pricing, and these prices are more competitive.. than they were...but I think they will need to do better still to sell the Model 3 at their previous volume.
I think this is a 'toe in the water' pricing strategy for Tesla at the moment with the Model 3. However, I expect their lease prices to be almost inline with the Model Y by the end of the year, particularly as they are going to need to compete against offers from other manufacturers who also need to sell cars to meet their ZEV obligations.

That's £211 a month more than the deal I got on my M3 LR, just shows how bad deals are at the minute. The best pricing is based on 4 years (which isn't so much of an issue as they have a 4 year warranty) but is a bit unusual.

model y RWD in blue - 3yrs, 16,000miles/year - 9 months advance - was £470/month
Presumably that also includes maintenance?I don’t think the Tesla deals come with maintenance.

and here was me under the impression that part of the point of tesla / EVs is that they don't need servicing as such
Yeah, it's really tyres. You can get through quite a few of those if you try.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
