Cheap woman’s dive watch
Discussion
My wife would like a cheap dive watch as a holiday, wear all the time, beater with a bit of style kind of feel. She’d love a Casio Duro, but she’s got small hands and skinny wrists so one of those would look massive on her. Plus, she hasn’t got a hairy wrist:
Is there an alternative in a more lady-friendly size? Key features are:
- Looks like a proper dive watch, rotating bezel Etc
- Properly waterproof, (not just 50m) for swimming in the sea, kayaking etc but not full scuba diving.
- Less than £100.
I’m struggling to find something that fits the bill, has anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks!

The under £100 space is hard to find small dive watches in. Only two I can think of are the 38.5mm Duro (actually 36mm, marketing copy is inaccurate) and the 36mm Invicta Pro Diver. The small Duro is only 50m water resistant however that's fine for swimming. People have taken the cheapest 30m water resistant Seikos, Casios etc properly diving with no problems.
If you can stretch up to £180 there's a 36mm Citizen Eco-Drive which would be a great bet!

My son had a similar Invicta quartz diver, it only has a push-pull crown. The crown was in on his watch but it still filled with water in the swimming pool.
A proper option would be the Tissot Seastar 36mm. Quite a handsome thing in black with the gold accents.
Oops, just saw your budget (£100). That Tissot is a bit over!
This Casio is £20 at Argos and wears pretty small:
Or maybe a lightly-used Citizen Eco Drive ladies divers watch? You might find one at or just over budget pre owned.

Hello OP,
In stock on Amazon, Ice watch, 35mm diver, £55. I have tiny wrists and had one for about 10 years as my only watch before it died. Very comfortable silicon strap that is sized for small wrists. I didn't take it off for swimming or showering, no problems.
IME the straps fade badly in sunlight. My wife had an orange kne and had to replace the strap twice in three or four yearsIn stock on Amazon, Ice watch, 35mm diver, £55. Blimey!H Samuel have a sale on, this is available in 'gold' or white strap https://www.hsamuel.co.uk/sekonda-pacific-wave-lad...
Invicta automatic seems the way 37mm quartz (they also do 24mm)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Invicta-Diver-Unisex-Stai...
Or how about a Vostok Amphibia they wear small and it’s a legend (£112 but it wouldn’t be PH without a bit of creep) the admittedly not great bracelet can be made to fit a smaller wrist.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/VOSTOK-Amphibian-Automati...
Not dive watches but certainly able to handle themselves (and summertime ready)..Casio Baby G?
Or GMA-2100, they wear smaller than the size suggests

Avoid that quartz Invicta, they’re not at all waterproof. Or how about a Vostok Amphibia they wear small and it’s a legend (£112 but it wouldn’t be PH without a bit of creep) the admittedly not great bracelet can be made to fit a smaller wrist.

A Vostok Amphibia is actually quite a good shout.
