Looks like it will only happen if we organise it ourselves. I don't think we need the dysfunctional timing equipment, we can just be honest with posting our best.

What do people think? ears

You could always join in with another organised event with the same people that ran it before for VX. Would do for me.

Javelin were involved previously, but Jez made it happen. I'm sure he'd be happy to advise.

Count me in Richie. If you need to make numbers up, I'm sure my mate would love to come.

When the forum last organised one, I think Jez nearly caught man-flu (not just a cold) as the numbers weren't enough to pay the costs, and he had underwritten the event.

IIRC Javelin didn't hold him to his obligation, but it isn't cheap if you are booking the venue yourself.

Funny, I was going to put up a thread once Bruntingthrope had replied.

I sent off an email today requesting prices for running our own event there....

Will post details when I hear back from them.

Do keep up Emma smile

It's £50+VAT per hour, minimum 2 hours (So £120) for shared use. Exclusive use runs to about £6-7K IIRC.

Noise limits of 98 static and 88db driveby still apply though

If you want Bruntingthorpe, then you might as well just sign up for VMAX.
