You know, the stuff you see on TV or hear about and think 'I'd like a go at that!' but never end up doing so?

I'd like to try this:

http://www.stoneskimming.com/

World Stone Skimming championships, held every year on Easdale Island (near Oban).

Does anyone else have something that they have always fancied doing but not got round to yet?

Scuba diving. I've always fancied doing it abroad, somwhere like Australia where the water is reasonably clear. I haven't got around to it as of yet.

ETA - Also, living out a childhood dream and operating a JCB. There is something about diggers that still gets me excited.

Would love a go in any 90s onwards F1 car just to experience what the power / acceleration / grip really feels like....

No road or track car is going to be even close in terms of an experience.

hehe

I tend to injure myself doing tame things, not extreme things.

I definitely want to give these a go.

Curling and Archery (actually tried archery, loved it but local club run by fkwits who can't organise a beginners class to save their lives so I can't do it long term)

There's 3 archery organizations in the country NFAS, EFAA and Archery GB. Might be worth approaching one of the others and see what beginners courses they run.
