I drove a Noble M12GTO-3R. Now, my Chim isn't slow, its actually fecking quick. But today I drove something that is in a different league. I'm gutted, and emotionally disturbed. Not a great deal of difference, probably up to a hundred (on a private road). Although I can't be sure. Across country... No contest... Unbelievable. It put a grin on my face that's easily as big as the one I had when I first drove the Chim. Fecking awesome. If (big if) our saviours new TVR's are as good as the Noble I'll be one of the first in line. As a drivers car, I've never experienced anything like it. I'm still in shock smile

Chop in the Chim and get one, Chilli. Why not? You can always come back to Blackpool Rock another day smile

Anyone who's driven a Noble knows they're pretty epic. You don't steer round corners, you think around corners.

Still prefer the Chim though smile

It wasn't my fault, I was bullied into it. I really didn't want to drive it. Honest. I tried to refuse but was pressured into it. I buckled under the pressure, and tried desperately not to enjoy the experience whistle

I drove the Noble a few years ago.

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. Frighteningly quick and, apparently, physically attached to the road.

If I could justify the cost, the Chimaera would have a stable mate.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Don't forget Richard, power aside, yours is running on pram wheels and therefor the comparables are well in the favour of the Nob!

Suspension, is yours fitted with the best?

Change those items and you will close the gap somewhat.

I'm lucky enough to own both! Chalk and cheese but love both the Noble, Chim and Tuscan in equal measure for different reasons.

Nowt wrong with a Mondeo engine when it's putting out 390bhp, equal torque and sounds like a race car - it goes like a boody rocket and the handling and ride are sublime. On the subject of 'Mondeo engine', you'll find that the duratec V6 was the basis for a number of cars including the odd Jag I believe, so not a bad lineage.

The Duratec can't match the S6 for blood and guts but torque wise it's gutless compared to the Noble.

Wonderful cars the M12 3r's and I wouldn't part with it unless finances dictated it.......but TVRs get well and truly under your skin, far more an emotional thing for me. Plus, the Tuscan might not have the performance of the Noble but it is a far better resolved design IMHO.
