I usually forget the scraper and the nearest cd case gets used, works quite well too!! I find the spray bottles are better than the aerosol tins.
Any particular CD music case that you find works better than others? How about 'Break the Ice' by Britney?
Nah, just plain old Vanilla Ice should be fine. wink
If you want to save ruining a new one you might go for an oldy like Jonny Nash "I can see clearly now"??
Get. Out!

The freeby has the heated elements in the screen which are great! smile
I don't think A.J.M has quite caught on to our little joke?
Caught on fine with it, was terrible though wink

I am currently out in Kazakhstan and here you can buy a bottle of vodka cheaper than a bottle of water, most the guys fill up the windscreen washer bottle with vodka (80 proof vodka will freeze at approximately -26°C and 100% proof vodka will freeze at approximately -40°C).

I should re-label the stuff as de-icer and ship it to the UK.

Ah, that explains the absolute twunt this morning who almost knocked me off my bike due to the sun streaming through his uncleared side windows - he must also have Tesco de-icer...

Rain-X on all glass makes scraping ice off much easier I find. I can even get away with just using the rubber part of ice-scrapers hence avoiding the potentially-damagig plastic bit smile
Now, as I understand it ice forms at anything below zero degrees C, in my book that's akin to the inside of my wifes freezer, and you ride a bike in that, bbbbrrrraaavvvee man!
Record was minus 14degC last winter. The problem that day was the freewheel on the bike freezing up if I stopped pedalling, so basically it freewheeled in both directions leaving me with no drive...

This morning was milder but less fun than yesterday: last night's rain had frozen on the sideroads and cut-throughs I use, fecking lethal.

Yep, I'm a bit mental I guess rotate

Mine isn't anywhere near warm, but I do the same.
Got a scraper from Halfrauds for £1 last winter - does the job pretty damn well and even has a rubber wiper-thingymabob on the other side.

It's due to be a frosty one tomorrow.
Will it help if I spray my windscreen tonight with de-icer or am I just pissing against the wind with this idea
None the less I shall spray it and report my findings back tomorrow. Here's hoping it doesn't rain tonight.

I keep my car locked up in the garage at night so I never have a problem in the morning. I still cant understand why my neigbours store cardboard boxes in their garage and spend 20 mins in the morning de-frosting the windows . idea Get rid of all the junk they store and spend that extra 20mins in bed sleep.

I use Halfrauds "night before" and it works great. Use it as it says........the night before.
Thought it would be a con so first time tried it like the adverts on one side of the windscreen and it was clear while the other side was iced.

I oft wondered why my neighbour in the ten year old fiesta chuckles at me burning about £10 of SUL whilst I scrape the car every morning hehe
