Great morning run, hope you guys had sum good grub for lunch. Roads were tail to tail caravan on the way home. Pity I am off to work now. Thanks for spurring me on to test to see if my bonnet would fly up at speed, glad it didn't! =)

Great run folks, well done Barry for organising.
Lost the rest of you while hanging back with Stevie G for a bit, glad you got home safe and well. Thanks to Steve Carter and his good lady for helping out.
There is some good footage from today from first scan, including Mr G praying to no avail to the great warranty god !
Great day out and surprisingly all went according to the time plan more or less, didn't think we had any chance of that happening on a 500 mile day run.
Cheers Barry for the organising again and sorting the weather (for a change), ended up spending morning and afternoon mostly with Paul and Arv which was fun, with the Monaro usually close behind. Paul showed me the benefits of his Elan at a set of lights in a shower on the way home as he could put his roof on and i couldn't but it was only a passing shower. After lunch following the 2 996's was interesting, esp seeing the big rear of the 996 turbo on the lumps and bumps, looked hard work could have passed both of you, if only I could overtake into the corners, nice noises as you left me on the straights ;-)
I had a bit of a home emergency brewing on way back so that is why i had to stop to take a call and lost a few of you. Also why I didn't stop at petrol station or Green Welly to regroup.
See you all soon. Look forward to video - will you drop the bit Barry as you pulled out in front of me at Glencoe ?
Cheers

Thought you'd sold your 996t?
Well, it is, it was, it maybe is for sale - guy called all the way from Melbourne, he sounded like Alf from Home & Away, said he'd take it using a proper import/export company in England, I got cold feet and tbh I'm just waiting over the next month to see if financially I 'really' do have to sell it, and with days like yesterday I'll find a way of 'really' not having to. But if I do keep it I have to change the suspension, far too bloody hard for some of the bumpy roads. You still got yours?

Don't be in too much of a hurry to sell yours (but I sense you know that already)
Thanks Barry, for organising a great day out and with a good bunch of lads too.
This being my first outing wasn`t sure of the the layout so spent most of the time at the back watching and playing catch up.
The old Monaro is a bit like myself, getting on a bit and not so nimble as the rest of you young uns, impressed by the agility and speed of the two lotuses and also the Megane, only really saw the Porsches at fuel stops and dinner, which we somehow managed to get there before them.
I badly misjudged my last fuel stop and had to drive from Invergarry to Fort William on fumes and managed to reach there with two litres to spare.
Don`t know about any one else but my fuel consumption was only just in double figures, but what the hell it was bloody good fun
Thanks to everyone and look forward to seeing you at the next one.

Thanks to all that came out for what was a very long but enjoyable run in good company and acceptable weather.
Great to see some more newbies who all slotted in as if they were veterans!
The evilz is indeed evil. Through Glencoe it did sound like a race car.
The Elan was by far the best modded example I have come across and its always fun to hear a big Holden.
Spent quite a bit of the day with jenks turbo - another evil looking car!
Managed a good varied run with the 3 911 up to lunch from bumpy single track to mega sweeping curves and everything in between.
Very nearly made dinner on time - had a great run down Glencoe with the turbo in tow again.
See you again next time.
If you can please support Kenny's BBQ sadly I'm on holiday.
