Result, no roads have their limit reversed back to 30.

Reporting back on our sojourn a fornight ago. Powys is sparsely populated which means relatively few 20mph sections and those we did encounter didn't make a whole heap of difference tbh. The parts of Ceredigion and Sir Gaerfyddin that we visited weren't much of a problem either. The only bit that gave us grief was the roadworks where they are dualling the A465 Heads of the Valleys road and the section from Ystradgynlais to Brynamman to reach the A4069 Brecon Mountain Road. Make all road categories visible.
See all those orange lines running NNW-SSE? In many cases they are the only road that runs down that valley.
Probably the worst is Rhondda, where I live. Mile after mile of main route A-road, now with a 20 mph limit.
The only good news is that it appears even the Police can't be bothered with it. I've seen them trundling along in a 30 mph traffic stream, in a 20 mph limit.

Bingo... And that's a perfect example of why the 'Default' needs to be returned to 30mph. Instead give extra powers & money, to the local authorities and let them reduce limits on a more targeted and pragmatic basis.Probably the worst is Rhondda, where I live. Ha... Yeah. I had a copper following behind me on a 20mph 'main' road at 02:00. He was visibly agitated that I was sticking to the limit.M

So same end result, but costs the local authorities several times more to implement. Wasn't if your mate that said the local authority teams didn't have enough LA money to start?

But you can see how things are done differently, for example in Port Tablot, despite the M4 and Harbour way running parallel, thrnold A48 is 30 mph through the town.Zoom in on the South Wales Valleys.

Well we are now a good few months into this 20mph stuff. I live over the border in that England place, 1.8 miles in fact. I often drive over to mid or north wales.
One thing you will notice is now nearly everyone is driving at 30mph + or - 1 or 2 mph, in the 20 zones.
I have not seen any enforcement in the 20 zones.
Now the tourists are coming you will meet the visitors sticking rigidly to 20mph.
Overall it really is making very little difference to journey times. Yes it's a pain and not liked which is why most are ignoring it and carrying on as if they didn't exist. Surely it won't be long before they are declared a failure.

Police not enforcing (rigidly) as mentioned in other posts is hardly surprising. A few years back in Oxford their dreamworld local politicians were ever keen on reducing limits. In 'consultations' police objected on the several occasions where I read a response from them, on the dual basis that it wasn't necessary and they didn't have the resources to police new lower limits, which would therefore be pointless. At which time the nickname Gatspoxfordshire arose,
Out of curiosity I decided to view the consultation on the Pembrokeshire Council website, with a view to adding where and why roads in Pembrokeshire should be reinstated to 30mph and in one instance I'm aware of in Haverfordwest it was reduced from 40mph to 20mph.
Unfortunately, the consultation is not up for debate as no feedback form is available.
I highlighted this to the local councillor 20th May and got a response on the 22nd "I have emailed the relevant officer from the highways department for an updated link for the 20mph consultation and for it to be also forwarded onto you."
Seeing as it's now 3rd June, I wonder if anyone has been able to access their local councils consultation. It's highly unlikely that Pembrokeshire Council are going to make it avaliable by the 7th June.

Obviously it's too soon to just take the evidence from one quarter, this still needs time to settle in and enforcement.
