.....it's all so quiet....
Thought I'd let you know - chosen to go Dellorto route with some Tuscan inlets and 45mm DRLA's! Spoke to many V8 experts before making step and they all agreed. Should get a real 300bhp from 4.0L. They do fit underneath the bonnet (just) but could do with some more space as ram intakes close to bonnet. I would therefore like to add a discrete bonnet intake so that I could put some decent filters on (don't want them sticking out of bonnet like the yellow SEAC I often see!!)
Does anybody have a bonnet that I butcher. Want to keep the option of going back to injection and car standard - in case I de-value with Dellorto's.
Will let you all know what performance advantages are.

Dellorto's do fit.....however!
I am currently running an exTVR Tuscan inlet manifold and in total leaves a gap of about 15mm between top of ram pipes and bonnet. I don't think is great and would like to increase this by 20-30mm to allow for air filter. I intend to mill this off the inlet manifold which according to Ray at V8 developments was a trick that they used in the old Tuscan days to enable the carb to spray directly on the back of the inlet vavle.
However, I don't know if this has been already to my manifold. Does anybody know in which direction the powerband moves when the inlet path is reduced and what the effects are?
I will update when this is ready but believe a real 300bhp is achievable from a 4.0l block (with some other mods) using this carburation.
