!970's car, headlining has severe staining which i think is the glue but I suppose could be water ingress.
Any suggestions for cleaning or recolouring?

Brake cleaner is a good first step for cleaning. Sorry can't help with recolouring.
Brake cleaner - would never have thought of that, does it dissolve the glue (I think it's the original 50 year old glue? Why would it start seeping through the headlining?). Recolouring was a second option to mask the problem.

Thanks for the info.
Suppose mask up everything and expect a light coating on yourself while lying on your back.
Won't be pink......

Yes could be a plastic based item. 70's Lancia for sale, interested but trying to cost out repairs. Replacing the headlining is a full glass out job and I just know that with my present luck, there's be new glass needed afterwards!! There used to be a paint for vinyl seats, remember doing a mini back in the 80's.
