Hi sorry hoping this is silly question

Lotus was off the road having work done, then once back it was left in garage for a few weeks without starting battery was on trickle charge. However car won’t start now - doesn’t turnover, I: sure battery has power

I know there is an immobiliser but why should this suddenly cause car not to start

When you say you are sure the battery is ok, have you tested it in any way?

Regarding the immob, what did it do when normally armed? Did it stop the starter turning the engine over? If so and the battery is ok then that may well be it and you'll probably need an electrical pro to attend to it.

Otherwise, sticky solenoid on the starter motor? Try a few taps with a hammer? See if you get 12v to the solenoid when trying to start the car? Take it off and bench test it?

There is an electrical cut-out switch in the battery compartment. Could this have been tripped when connecting the battery to the charger?

If that doesn't solve it, when you turn the key, does the ignition come on? When you try to start it, does the starter motor click, and does other electrical stuff go quiet ?

Does the fuel pump whine for a second or two ?
Sounds like immobiliser , safety cutout switch near the battery , or the battery .
