That's like a lot older than my dad
, no wonder I don't get half the stuff the posters on here go on about and some are probs even older than my granddad who keeps goin on and on (and on) about his funny old Fords, stuff from back in the 60s and 70s like I should know what he's talkin about. Sometimes we didn't even go back that far in school history lessons.

Not so unusual, I was 26 when my first son was born meaning I would have only been 39 when he was a youngster like you... That's like a lot older than my dad

Quick guess - I'd say somewhere on the Southern Region. Well it's a start ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
Old Basing, Hampshire... Small Village & hasn’t really changed much. The shop is now a house though.
The line is still used...

So, here's the fun part. If you acknowledge that there was a world before you were born, you can go and investigate it. It's called history - they teach it in schools. Without it there's be no future. You can learn from it, and some of the events that happened and things we had we, well, OK really. That's like a lot older than my dad

Those of us who have miraculously survived the past 50 or more years have some fond memories, and we enjoy sharing them. I'm sure there's an Xbox / Minecraft / Instagram forum over there >>>>>>>>>>

Ooh! You're going to be in a whole pile of trouble with Johnspex. I'd throw the trowel in now. I bet you're bricking it.

I come on here for a quiet read and find my favourite thread spoiled by posters who, under the mistaken impression that they're funny want to fill the page with stupid jokes and puns.
Wonder who said that? ![whistle](/inc/images/whistle.gif)
