England cricket 2023 & 2024
Discussion
I've done Antigua and Barbados which was great, but hassle getting between the islands alongside thousands of other fans.
My mate has done India a few times and enjoyed it, but has also done India to watch India Pakistan and was treated very well indeed, but I'm not sure I'd ever be brave enough to try it.

I will have to put on my bucket list. A England over seas tour.
Which one would be the best.
The Caribbean. Australia. India. South Africa or any other.

Thank you for your response.
Antigua and Barbados, sound good , two tests, two different islands. should be enough.
Can you do it yourself, or is it better to go with a organised tour party.
We did it ourselves, but...Antigua and Barbados, sound good , two tests, two different islands. should be enough.

It's a ballache doing so, but saves a load of money. Now I'd just go on a tour, back then I couldn't afford to. I was going to go to Oz after the 2005 Ashes win, but someone offered me a lot of money to do some really interesting work and I couldn't turn it down. The biggest grief going down under is the amount of time you spend flying, not just there and back but between the grounds.

Who would have picked YJB as the saviour after that start to the innings?
Yes so unlikely after just doing exactly the same in Sydney on 5th Jan. He made 113 after being recalled to the side. YJB has this sort of thing in him. He's one of those sportsmen who needs a good sports psychologist I reckon...harness his talent properly.
We should have taken one of Broad or Anderson on this series. A transition plan from the old guard is wise. Yanking them out? Less so.
At least this series might be some sort of "close". But this England team is in a sorry old state. They should be paying us to watch over the summer.

It really pisses me off when sports split themselves over multiple providers like this. I know they say they do it to promote competition and avoid monopolies, but as a paying customer it just feels like a con to get you to subscribe to every service rather than just one.
I don’t have Sky but have BT, but glad Sky monopoly got broken up. Challo said:

I subscribe to Sky Cricket but get sweet FA for my money. They're screening the Womens World Cup but have started a dedicated channel and dropped Cricket channel for the duration. Total swizz. They really are the barrow-boys of TV. (I know, I could always cancel............)
The issue with cancelling Sky is that if you are a sports fan they still offer a good selection. In our house we watch cricket, F1, football, rugby, tennis and Sky still have much of that. However, it is is getting distributed across other providers so now we also have BT Sport and Amazon Prime. Of course Sky don't drop their prices so it's all a swizz! Thanks for the response and info regarding the oversea tours.
I go to edgbaston cricket ground for international cricket. And that as a great atmosphere.
England vs Australia, India. Pakistan, Windies, and India vs Pakistan.
I will start saving for a Caribbean tour first. The barmy army certainly seem like they are having loads of fun .
