Yeah i think the fact that after they've done their day of walking they get into their camp which is already assembed for them, tents erected proper toilet, and what looks like most of their food and supplies carried for them is pathetic tbh!!

Edited to add if Chris Moyles can do it it must be a piece of piss IMHO

With the back up ans support that they have had on this walk, then frankly it isn't anymore than a walk in the park. Watching the sherpas go powering past these "celebs" with bigger backpacks and carrying stuff on their heads doesn't exactly show them in a great light. You can see the guides sitting there thinking "Oh FFS.........."

It's great that they have all raised so much, that is very commendable, but a bit less of what a massive trial it is. At least that Alicia lass seems to have her head screwed on though.
yes

1. No planning, all done for them.
2. No carrying, ditto.
3. Best support that money can buy.
4. Very easy to give up your time for charidee when you are paid a king's ransom for fk all in the first place.

Not really sure what they think they've 'achieved'.

Bunch of grumpy sods with twinges of jealousy thrown in for good measure.

The costs of the trip were covered by BT so all the money donated does go to comic relief. In terms of celebrities doing what celebrities do I reckon this is the least bad - they are using their popularity to raise money for a good cause.

All the porters will get paid, and apparently got a lot of the kit afterwards too. It's their job and they are damn good at it. Good income to the area.

Of course there are issues with creating dependencies on aid and encouraging people to live in places that would normally be considered very inhospitable to humans. At least comic relief spread the money around lots of charities (not just water aid or anti-malaria or whatever).

agree with you that at least they have raised good amounts...however i suppose for fatboy this is the biggest thing he has ever done or likely to do. but he is so annoying ...I really try to avoid his show...

Either fund it yourself then or find someone willing to pay for it for you.

I'd love to do it too, so may well book a trip one day as I know I'm not very marketable to attract sponsors.

FFS, they flew back to RAF Northolt on a private jet.

If one is being cynical, and one is, one wonders how much money could have been donated to charidee by flying scheduled? What a bunch of self-serving claptrap, they can stick Red Arse day up their noses.

Paid for by Gary Barlow personally if I heard correctly and only from the Netherlands, not the whole way.

You don't HAVE to watch or donate you know...

Relevance? No money went to this from the licence fee - the trip costs were covered by BT.

you're seriously telling me that the the bbc paid for none of that? My annoyance is people like moyles on 850k paid for by an enforced tax that goes up even in a recession making out theyre suffering for charity. if it raised money for charity then all well and good but save the piousness..

and dont get me started on bt being a monopoly too...

Christ almighty i hate moyles with a vengence, I have never known a person to like the sound of his own voice as much as that big fat disgusting swill bucket of a man. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to get to work, and most of the time moyles wont play a single song in that 15-20 minute journey. It boils my piss knowing i have to contribute to his salary.

Good work on them raising money for charity but I found the amount of assistance they had was quite pathetic, I am pretty sure they could of mustered up 1 and half mill between them all and saved themselves the trouble of having to walk up that mountain.
