Quick question, how do I move the contents of my GIA to my ISA? Ta.
You need to sell it down to cash, wait a few days for it to settle, then on the login page where you have the overview of all accounts, scroll down to the bottom and you will see the option to move between accounts. Fill in the amount and then a few days later you can go and buy the same holdings again within your ISA

Clearly a lot of talk on here about Nvidia Corp (NVDA), which is currently up multiples of my original investment, however where do people think the price can get to. Obviously appreciate that is the million dollar question, but just interested in peoples thoughts on the current $900 figure.

I suppose the obvious question is whether are happy to continue investing at this entry point or whether they are sitting on their profits and just seeing where it goes, as I'm currently the latter but thinking of putting more into it.

I have 2.466 shares in NVNA held in my Trading 212 account, they are currently up by 109.5%, I would not have found these on my own.....Adam did mention back up the thread that we should expect to see movement in both directions as day traders buy and sell. I'm holding mine and hoping for a 200% gain.

A mate of mine bought 5.1 shares when they were $561. They're $911 atm ... he sold long ago and took the $1300-ish!

Question for the IM team.

How long would it take to open an ISA with you? We have a sale of a BTL hopefully completing Tuesday so are looking to see if we can take advantage of this tax years allowance. We both have pensions with you.

Why not just open the ISA anyway with £1 (or whatever the minimum is) ? There's an 'Apply for another product' link in the top right of the dashboard. Adding extra funds should be quicker....

Hi Muck Dodge

It only takes an about 10 minutes and you can then make your payment by BACS.

Follow the apply button on the top right of the Private Clients webpage.

If need any help feel free to drop me a message at nik.burrows@imprivateclients.com

Cheers

Nik

Hi Nik and Adam,
A few posts up the page was a question about moving GIA invested funds to a pre existing ISA, all with the IM platform - would one of you detail the steps / process please, so we have it from the horses mouth. Oh, and I take it there is still time within this year (23/24) to move funds prior to next year's ISA starting (24/25)?

At the bottom of the Account Overview page there’s an option to transfer funds between accounts.

Choose the accounts from the drop downs, follow the steps (which funds to sell, which funds to buy) and then submit. I did this yesterday so hope that Adam or Nik will confirm that this will happen for the 23/24 year.

How long do scheme to scheme transfers take? I requested one from a GIA to my ISA on the 25th and it's still "In progress", I don't mind as long as it will complete before the ISA deadline. Thanks.

My request was approved on the 21st, I’m told I’m unlikely to see it before the 5th, with is a shame as I wanted it in this tax year.

Anyone know what the current interest rate and terms are for the IM ISA? Or do those pop up if you apply?

Oh and can you transfer in from an existing ISA?

Aren't they all S&S ISAs, and therefore "interest rate" isn't really appropriate? Or have I missed them starting a cash ISA?

We offer a Money Market product which currently nets circa 4.5% net.

Cappo, if you need to discuss any products drop me a line via the PM function and i'll mail you.

Ah that may be my mistake, I might have just assumed it was a cash ISA! I’ll check with Adam.

You can hold cash within a S&S ISA - I have my £20K in there as cash right now. The 'money market' mentioned is a separate investment as I understand it, unless IM automatically transfer all cash into it for the gain/'interest'.
