No worries - for what it’s worth we stayed in that chalet in January and even with two toddlers getting the bus to the centre was a doddle.
I know Val D well and I want to be by the Solaise/Bellevarde area for the bars and restaurants, if I go on my own they want double the price for the room for single occupancy at that chalet unfortuantely.I am only desperate to go as during our week in Morzine in Jan I missed all but one day as was in bed with a chest infection and even the day I did was hard work as I felt like st.

Wish I could...
Well I am in Val D’Isere now. It wasn’t happening as was busy last week in the end but yesterday morning I looked at the forecast here and thought fk it. Called a mate and we booked a flight and left 3 hours later.Wish I could...
Late evening flight into Geneva and hired a car and arrived at 1 am this morning.
Up at 9 and on the slopes by 10 we boarded 33 miles today so a good start followed by beers and a quicksilver burger if anyone knows it.conditions are amazing for near May!
Folie Douce season ended today but was sold out so couldn’t get in but went to Le Coin des Amis for 5 or 6.
Great Day

Thanks Tim, sadly we didn’t find your beers but lots of Val D’Isere was closed or closing last week.
Resort closes today which is a real shame as they still have 3m up top and we were off piste in powder some days last week.
Going last minute was brilliant and no queues and literally one or two people on each run. It was like renting it privately, it was bonkers!!!
Will definitely do the same next year. We watched the weather and went when it was just perfect.

Amazing pictures! Our last ski vacation we had in Bulgaria/Bansko. I didn't expect much to be honest and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of service and food there. The only one thing want to remind to all the travellers, Bulgaria one of those counties which require vignette https://bulgariavignette.eu for the toll way. Unfortunately we didn't know that, so ended up having a decent fine.

It was snowing in Avoriaz until the end of April.
This is terrible news, we are out of there for the sun on July 20th!
I'm in Morzine now. Don't worry, everything is ramping up for the summer season. The mountain biking starts soon. Plenty of road bikers or on the roads today (a sunny public holiday). This is terrible news, we are out of there for the sun on July 20th!
