This what the proper guys look like.

3 cages with water and matching equipment etc. Wembley bomb squad dogs.

Isn’t that a rack of ‘Regimental’ ties also, top left in the back of the van? Ready for instant deployment

All the dogs in the section were fed on dry food, subsequently, my dog farted none stop, I knew he was coming before I saw him. Daft as a brush off the harness, the moment the harness went on, he knew it was time to work. We patrolled a bonded warehouse on Liverpool docks.

4x4 Response out in force today at the Chiltern Hills Classic Car Rally, lots of hi-vis waiting to be called to help someone. The only flaw being the warm weather and a complete bone dry grass field with no mud whatsoever.
It would like that to a typical MOP like you. An amateur’s eye won’t pick up on the dangers.

To the professional time-served 4x4 rescue operators it is an emergency waiting to happen.

You and your family can enjoy yourself in the sun, safe in the knowledge brave men stand ready.

I will remember your kind words and think on them fondly as I sleep with one eye open.

When everyone else tries to avoid catastrophes, the 4x4 Response Walt’s drive towards them.

They are angels with raised suspension, whip CB aerials & flashing amber lights. God speed my heroes.

A girl at a church fete once said to me ‘nice hat’.

I was wearing my leather Stetson.

Imagine if her car had been stuck in the mud, I could have winched it free and spoken to her.

Alas, it was summer and the ground was baked hard.

Does the maverick Walt who goes by the name of Mr Minion with burger in hand still post on Twitter?

Dunno, but I salute and honour his service by shouting 'clear the park' everytime I see a lime yellow Golf mk8.

There's a Waltmobile at my local auctioneers, if any of you want to join the dark side or go undercover to root out Walts:

I must admit, I was very grateful for 4x4 Response Walts when my Motorhome got stuck trying to get out of Bluedot Festival a few years back.

MAJOR EVENT!

Still talked about these days. Mud was 2cm deep in places.

I know a couple of the guys that were there.

One says that the training just kicks in, you don’t think you just act, no time for fear or worrying about your own safety; there’s a car with slightly spinning wheels sending bits of mud in all directions like shrapnel from a grenade. You just get on with it.

The other chap? He doesn’t say much about Operation Bluedot. Will acknowledge he was there, that’s about it.

Probably PTSD, hits the weak lemon drink pretty hard.

A friend's neighbour appears to be a low-grade walt: 5 series BMW estate in white with fluorescent jacket (the type with blue/white reflective chequers) hanging on the passenger side.
