An 80s thread.
I could survive quite happily on music from 80-83. I wouldn't need anything else.
Starting to realise that cars were really quite cool and fast cars something else.
Really wanted a Vector W12 or a Koenig Testarossa.
Anyone remember Debbie Ashby? I was at school with her in a round about sort of way - she was on another campus. Quite a stir she caused in the local posh(ish) independant school...

Depeche Mode singles 81-85 was on constant play.

Many a good tape lost in the car if left overnight due to moisture. That horrible muffled noise and you knew that it was going to eat your tape.

CB Radio.

Sitting up with my 26" TV typing in programs for the ZX81 only to have it lost by a rampack wobble.

In 1990 I had an older oh who went to art college in St Albans with Kim Wilde, or as she was know among her group Kim Smith, and they hung out together.
My oh was as surprised as everyone else when she suddenly appeared on TOTP!

Kim never contacted any of them again. bh.

She looked rough as old dogs feet in pictures I've seen of her. hehe
So of course I used to by her Kim Wilde records for Xmas every year. biggrin

Spring 1985 and I'd just bought my 1973 MGB GT at the age of 18. This picture was taken near my girlfriend's house in Southgate.

It got written off a week later when some tt drove into the back of it. frown

I was at that school (not sure about the posh bit), but a couple of years below. To her credit, my mum bought the porn mag in question so we could see what the fuss was about. Of course by then she was long gone.

If you think she was into porn you've led a very sheltered life!

Or I've been seriously missing something!
