hygienist has revealed i need a couple of fillings

im not nhs registered and seems they would do grey ones unless front teeth?

so assume private dentist check up fee , plus the fillings , what sort of money should i expect to pay ? had a google of local ones and prices are all over the place

I have recently paid £225 for a filling at our private dentist, and that was with a 10% discount. An extraction is £350, sedation an extra £400. I know this as I paid for a filling, that didn't work, so needed an extraction. I did ask for a discount for the cost of the filling, as it only lasted a few weeks, but the answer was no.
what was the excuse for it lasting a few weeks?

If cost is the concern, go with the cheapest one.
just trying to get a feel for whats a fair price , i dont want a rubbish job to save £20 , but then people saying 400£ sounds a bit strong when it can fall out in a month or whatever with no comeback

Wow. I'm amazed at the prices being quoted on this thread.

I've just come back from Turkey, working with a friend on his place out there. I had had a bit of dental pain in the last few months so went to see a highly recommended dentist out there. A couple of x-rays later and I was told that I needed a filling replacing, an extraction and a scale and polish. All done over a period of a week or so, total cost around £170.

65euro for a white filling in spain is the norm
