Yep there goes the league. Can't see us winning at Everton and can't see Tottenham losing any of their coming games. Arsenal are ste and Utd are poor, but we're making them look world beaters.
Excellent win, exactly as expected. Could be wrapped up by the weekend...
So tonight could be the night.
Cannot believe we're on the cusp of winning the league. I posted on here at the end of last season that a major rebuilding job was needed, and we would be out for the CL for 4 years. And I'm not a "glass half empty" bloke. Mind you, I'm not a "glass half full" bloke either. I'm more a "why have we wasted money on a glass twice as big as we need" bloke.

At the start of the season I would have been happy to get top 4, and whilst we've not had to worry about Europe and have been lucky with injuries, it's still one hell of an accomplishment. That first half against Arsenal was one of the most pathetic, gutless displays I've ever seen but from that point on the turnaround has been remarkable. The likes of Cahill, Pedro and Matic have changed from being shells of their former selves into being at the top of their game. And who would have thought Victor Moses, a player who at one point I honestly forgot was even on our books, becoming such a key part of the squad?
After the home match v Liverpool, I wanted Conte sacked as I left the ground. I was livid. We'd gone 2 down in the first half, managed to get it back to 1-2 after about an hour, but then offered nothing and never looked like equalising. Yet he refused to make any changes. Until finally, on 86 mins, he made a treble substitution!!! Thus ensuring the last 4 mins we a complete shambles as no one knew what they were meant to do.
It was terrible management and I had Conte written off as a complete moron.

Fortunately for us Roman isn't so trigger happy. It was terrible management and I had Conte written off as a complete moron.
Things did look bleak at the start of the season, credit goes to some of the "lesser names" in the team and the manager.
Moses, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Kante and Pedro have been top of their game all season (we're ignoring the first few weeks!) and created a platform for Hazard and Costa to do their thing.
Fingers crossed we win this evening but Pulis and West Brom are a good team and will know how to stifle us. They've really not made any headlines this season but are 8th which is very good when looking at their squad.
I really like Conte as manager and it's so refreshing to have a manager who only makes positive headlines.

Azpilecueta has hardly put a foot wrong since he arrived. Even last season he was good. Moses, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Kante and Pedro have been top of their game all season (we're ignoring the first few weeks!) and created a platform for Hazard and Costa to do their thing.

I agree mostly but we lacked a final ball when he played on the left, Alonso has looked better going forward although as a wing back rather than a left back it does give him more attacking freedom. What I'm really impressed with Azpilicueta is his change to his position this season, apart from the Spurs game he's been brilliant.http://talksport.com/football/why-i-wouldnt-swap-c...
I'd love to see Azpilicueta, Christensen and Ake developed as a back 3 eventually, all good defenders and very quick.
I'm not getting the love in for Conte. Winning the league is obviously a big deal but it's not like he took a load of also rans with no money to the top.
He took a team that won the league the year before (having taken a year off getting Jose the sack), lost none of the decent players of that team, spent a load more and then won the league this year with no European football to worry about.

Whilst that may be true, the impressive bit is that after losing back to back games against Liverpool and Arsenal, we looked like mid table mediocrity. He made a decision to make a complete change to they formation and drilled the players to such an extent that we may well go on to win the league by 7 or 10 points. Despite the shambles that was last season, I still expected us to challenge for the title especially with some of the players we have. WBA are a good team and I expect them to give us a good game so no complacency tonight.
Who would have thought the impact Conte would have on Moses, and I remember some of the comments when we signed Alonso and bought back Luiz.
Don't know why everyone's making such a fuss that we've had it easy with no European football, as if we've never won the league without playing in the UCL before. Of course it will be tougher but it can and has been done before.
Anyone read Arse Wengers bitter comments
