A good example of sportsmanship IMO, was a few seasons ago, was when Norris had a big off at Eau Rouge and Seb Vettel stopped to check he was OK.

Anyone who thinks Hamilton is a good sportsman is blinded by fanboyism.

Just look at how he nearly drove Coulthard off the track at Monza when he had a clear run on him.

When was that then?

Indeed. The depths some people sink to in trying to post disparaging remarks about somebody they have never met.

It's nothing about him personally, just his driving style.

I could make a similar remark about those who defend him as if he were a blood relation.

So a piece of driving so cynical and devoid of sportsmanship (at a level of bad sportsmanship and cynicism that only something that 'nearly' resulted in something happening can attain) that it has resonated for 16 years....

You would think it might have merited a single word in the Autosport live race report or Autocourse for that matter....

And how many times did he do a clumsy overtake on Albon when he was at Red Bull and fighting for a podeum, taking him out and effectively ending his career with Red Bull when he needed results?

The difference between most world champions (Schumacher, Hamilton, Verstappen ,Seb 'Multi 21' Vettel' Senna etc.) and non world champions is they will do whatever it takes to win. They will happily force another driver off the track or cause a collision when it comes to that make or break overtake.

I really cannot see someone like Leclerc or Norris doing the same thing in the same situation.

Indeed!

One of the reasons I don’t like Hamilton is because during an interview after Vettel’s 3rd or 4th championship, Lewis was asked “What Sebastian represents to the history of F1?” The little arrogant replied “it’s difficult to say how good he really is because of the car….”. curse

I don't have a link, I saw it when watching the race, Brundle referred to how Hamilton likes to "push his luck with the stewards" or something like that.

He was right. Seb was ordinary without the double diffuser.

Regarding Coulthand and Hamilton Monza 2007. Just had a quick look at that race, Coulthard went off all by himself whilst being absolutely nowhere near Hamilton.

So there is some explaining to do here, DOCG and Kart.

You've made it up or completely misremembered.

Not surprising you're confused, it was 17 years ago.

Driving style?

Nearly anybody who knows anything about F1 (most of the paddock included) state that Lewis Hamilton is one of the cleanest drivers out there. So what do you not like?

I think you are referring to a different incident. I'm pretty sure it was a wet race, so it would have been 2008 when Toro Rosso got their shock victory.

Monza 2007 was a dry and sunny race if I recall.
