The dials on my Hyena look different to the SZ ones, and in fact the speedo has a 'Hyena' graphic on it so I think they're specially made. The 7 guages are; Boost, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Fuel, Clock, Battery and Oil Pressure. The small head lights are indeed identical to the SZ/RZ and also to the AM Lagonda! The windscreen is identical to the SZ and I understand the door frames are SZ too, in fact I have a Lancia ignition key and Alfa door keys which would appear to back this up.

Blimey... I really wish you'd post more often
Any chance of a pic... only ever seen one Hyena in real life.

I owned 1 of 2 imported into the UK in the mid 1960's. Does anyone know what model it is & where its from.
Note the Split rear screen which had a 'D' Type Jag Fin.

It's right hand drive, its imported, and it's small so it must have come from Japan.
It looks like one of those Honda 800 sports.

Droop Snoot Firenza - 204 built
Sportshatch - 196 built and never officially advertised. I remember when I lived near Ellesmere Port, there was a compound full of these cars which i used to drool over as a lad.
Chevette HSR - under 40 built.

Thanks for those. I remember them, and especially liked the sportshatch (the origin of the name as currently applied to some Vauxhall or other that's not a patch on the original).
Another unusual one: RS2000 4x4. No, not the Cossie but an RS2000 with 4WD. I had one. I think less than 200 made. Nice car. A revelation in handling after the FWD RS2000. No point in adding a picture as it looked identical to the FWD apart from the small "4x4" badge on the front wing, but it had some lovely non-mass-produced rear suspension if you got down to look at it.

Cheers. You have to admire them - the Hyena and the SZ have the same windscreen and door frames, yet the SZ and RZ have different ones...
