If they are roadworthy and drive-able its oke (just add concept to it), best are ofcorse the cars that are road-legal, this long list wakes you up of lovely cars you can buy or are maybe hidden in some garagebiggrin I love special cars, some are forgotten so its nice to see them again.

I doubt anyone has mentioned this here, but - New Beetle RSi:

3.2V6 and 4WD - the development platform for the Golf R32. Limited to 250 at a cost of £50K.

I owned #38, as driven by VBH on old Top-Gear:

How about this American attemp at a supercar that has failed to ever make an impart for the last 20 years, and here is the 2008 version. I present the Vector, one of the car industries great under achievers:

They have moved away from the stealth fighter look of a couple of years ago? One man's fantasy and he just builds what he fancies, I think.

ACS3 3.2 Compact 10 Years Limited Edition - Well that has to win for the longest title within this thread.

This AC Schnitzer BMW Compact was created as a limited production run of just 10 cars to celebrate 10 years of AC Schnitzer production vehicles. It was fettled with in various departments being given a M Roadster rear axle which was mated to a 3.2L 6 cylinder engine developing 260bhp and 330nm, it also benefited from a AC Schnitzer aero package to help stability at speed and a few sporting touches to spice up the interior.

That E34 Cabrio is stunning, think it would've sold really well as a premium coupe/'vert as there was no 6-Series in those days. Does anyone know anything about other M projects that were not produced?

I think they knocked out an M8 concept but never put it into production.

I have a picture somewhere of the 'M8' in a warehouse in Germany. I'll see if I can dig it out.

Has the Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole been mentioned yet? They made c.950 of which 250 were 3 door variants. I owned mine for five years & still rate it in my top 5 cars ever.

Tipo looks in good condition. I had mine for 4 years. After owning it for a year i decided to drop a coupe 16v turbo engine in to it, ended up running around 260bhp in it biggrin

Thats inaccurate... I think there was to be 40 Zonda Roadsters, 15 S and 25 F. As far as I am aware there are only 11-12 S Roadsters in existence.

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet:

Ferrari F40 LM edition. As spotted in Arnage village at LeMans this year.

Another one of a GT1

Aston Martin Lagonda. Apparently this was a special one off version with 550bhp and uprated brakes according to the owner we bumped into.

It was in really good condition. I did 50k miles in it & loved every one. Must be one of the greatest 4 pot engines ever. No-one interested when I came to selling thou & let it go for about £700. I thought about the turbo engine but ended up buying a Golf & turboing that instead. I reckon the Tipo handled better.....
