Great to see this thread again!

I love the Ecosse - seen a silver one IRL - and it looks stunning.

I second that, sadly they did not make so many, only a few I believe and maybe none LHD lucky for us there are also many other cars to choose from sometimes I think to many to choose fromhehe
The longer I drove cars, and the more different cars, the more I know what I would like to see in a car what could make me a happy driver

>>Lightweight, at least under 1250kg (best under 900kg)
>>not to long, at least under 4300cm (best under 4000cm)
>>A good engine!! 300<>650ps, depends on weight of the car.
>>turningcircle under 12mtr
>>not to high, at least under 130cm
>>Coupe/hardtop car (don't like to much windnoise)
>>must be a real driverscar and connected to the road and the driver.

some extra's not realy needed but would be nice to see in the car;

>>ABS, DSC/tractioncontrol, elctricwindows/central locking, aircon.

Ooooh, I like that AC Schnitzer

As for 996 Turbos making things look slow, I can verify that. The way those things can accelerate off a damp roundabout almost defies beleif!

yeah I like that AC car tooyes more pictures?
I never saw a real one of this sadly but I have a picture of it from EVO magazine I believe where they compared some cars, the E30 M3 still the best though but interesting that the AC also have those wide wheelarches...

Good choice that BB Ferrari, I saw a review around this car on Dicovery I believe and that man who owns such car did already 2 belt changes?? anyway the engine have to come out and its a very expensive job so they say and this sort Ferrari is one of the most expensive for that job with his big boxer engine, nice
A lot of "older" Ferrari's did not make the 1000 cars and I did not mention them to left some space for others too
There's a lot "forgotten" cars out there some only one built and when I sometimes look at websites looking for someting else I come acros such car and dump it in this thread, so when I'm "rich" anough to go shopping I go through this long thread to find a nice car to buyhehe

Indeed good find Dink, always loved that Caterham 21 I saw a green one at the Amsterdam autorai when it came out and ofcorse the all aluminium option one in the magazines, never understood why they stopped making it..I believed it had great potentional they say this about it;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally intended as a low-production run car of no more than 200 a year, only just under 50 were ever made and production has now ceased.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You could also get this car to build it yourself in the vorm of a kit, so maybe thats why some sources talk about 68 cars?
Anyway rare they are, even more rare is the mighty Caterham 21 GTO wich race in Belgium but can't find a nice picture, there's only one orange excample that does not do the car justice, I have a carmagazine with a aluminium GTO very nice!
here the Aluminum "normal" Caterham 21 version;

Donkervoort made a step with the announcement of the Coupe . . . They should do a '21' . . .

There are some, I have a carmagazine with a Caterham 21 GTO but don't know if anny is for street use though...the only picture and its a very wrong picture on the net is this orange excample but it looks wierd on the picture, the pictures I have from a carmag is beautifull.

maybe its time for McLaren to build a new F1 even better styled and not with the 2x S50-30 3.0L M3 together(V12 612ps) but with the newer 2x S54 engine they could "easely get 700ps NA from that...sounds good to me

update the list, to add a special car only one ever made, my new car the "Hartge Z3 coupe 5.0" with V8 and according to some people 420 HP and around 530 NM its fast too but a bit of an animal to drive even in the dry...so I will loose sprints but once over say 100km/u I get the power on the road again and pointing(I hope) to the horizon
Its also now the first real as Hartge registered car in the Netherlands they had to activate a new account for that, how cool is that
After all those years and millions of cars in NL I managed to put Hartge on the RDW(car registration base) what a simple man can achieve...

There were several special editions towards the end of Delta Integrale Evo production... Martini 5 (400), Verde York (500), Martini 6 (310), Club Italia (15), Dealer's Collection (177), Final Edition (250), Club HiFi (20) and the Delta Cabrio (only two made)... The spider was commissioned especially by Giovanni Agnelli...

Rene, how about the ASA1000 and the Cisitalia???
Very nice this Lancia list, great to see it again, though don't remember seeing the cabrio before.

you mean those? ASA 1000 Coupé 1960 (by Ferrari)

of deze Drogo's ASA 1000 GTC?

I believe only a 100 of those cars together...?

Based closely on a design for a proposed baby Ferrari designed by Giotto Bizzarini, the 1000GT was nick-named 'Ferrarina', small Ferrari in Italian. Power came from a straight 4 engine, equipped with a single overhead camshaft it managed to produce almost 100bhp/litre.

Production ended in 1967, after around 80 coupes and 17 spyders were built, only a small number of 1000GTs were fitted with a fiberglass body designed by Bertone. WM

And this Cisitia? I think they look OK but very expensivebiggrin

Even more rare the racer version, never seen one of those, they look greatbiggrin

Also just noticed, now I know where Vauxhall designers got the idea for the winf mirrors on the original Vectra from!
Indeedhehe but to make things a bit better some other exclusive car-builders had those too, think one of them is also somewhere in the 1 to 1000 ever made car thread, I believe it was a English company?

Also TVR seac the wedge models had sort of the same mirrors...thats better then the name Vauxhallhehe that sounds depressing

What you say? open engine something of the last years?? look again..

The backside does me remind me of some Honda sportcar and gues they copyd it from this car?

What a car, and what a waste they only make 3...

Look at this, already then BMW had a tacho that hit 350km/u weighting only 1000kg please BMW bring something like this low weight car.
