Thinking of moving on the wifes' year old Macan (which is returning just 26.2mpg - p155 poor for a 2l engine given how gently the thing is driven) and swapping into a new Cayenne Hybrid because the 50 mile electric range is going to be a game changer (and having great experience with my new Panamera Turbo S Hybrid).
Can someone elaborate the differences between the new Cayenne Hybrid vs new Cayenne **S** Hybrid, beyond extra grunt - are there some key standard fit options or other functionalities that make the S the one to choose, because the Mrs doesn't need/want the extra power.
Any more feedback from other new gen Cayenne owners?

Hi Guys, I've had the E-Hybrid on order since summer and was expecting delivery October.. had a few delays with transportation from the PDI centre which caused it to get stuck in the stop-sale. As others have noted this has been put back couple of times.. the latest was an update to the update that was expected 8-Jan..
Heard from my Porsche Centre late yesterday that the actual rollout has now been scheduled for Week 6!
With it being so close to the new Registration they are holding all the cars over to March.
Makes you think there really must have been something significant that they needed a fair bit of time to find the fix..
Assuming it's not put back again ??

Disappointing to hear, as we are in the same position as you. My concern is that, our car, like yours, has been sitting around at the dealership since the end of September, along with a quite a number of other E Hybrid Cayennes, and I am wondering if the extended period of non use, will cause any issues with the hybrid battery i.e. will the non use cause any deterioration of the battery/ shorten its useful life. This is something that I will want to take up with the OPC once a delivery date is finally known.

Was thinking the same tbh. 5 months siting on tyres that wont be rotated isn't ideal to start with. Let alone all the electrical stuff.KC911 said:

This is more than annoying. I sold a Turbo GT (which I loved) early as I was promised the new Hybrid with GT pack for early Nov delivery. The car still isn't in the dealers despite numerous lines of BS that "it will be with us next week etc etc". Just before Xmas I was told it's en route and I can collect it on the 3rd Jan - Today. I've only found out about the Stop Sale by reading this thread today. Week 6 with zero communication other than perpetual lines of BS is frankly disgusting customer communication. That debacle happened after the salesman had sent him a photo of his car being delivered a few weeks ago then had to tell him he couldn’t take delivery of it because of software issues.
Furious is an understatement.

Is the app pretty reliable? And once the battery power is empty would it just not work? I know volvo and JLR vehicles just remote start the engine to get heat if the electric has run out.
Currently in Tesla which for all its faults, heats via phone no problem, and can do individual seats/ steering wheel. Just wondered how it was on the new hybrid.
