Seems like you will have some good savings if your insurance is that much typically. What car do you have now if it’s costing that much in fuel, or is that the cost at more than 10k miles? I do 12k miles a year and it costs around £2300, I do consider my vehicle pretty bad on fuel coming from a diesel which could get double the MPG at times. Tell me why I should not go with this deal:

I was considering the Alfa Romeo Tonale 1.5 MHEV Ti 5dr Auto, but these are stock vehicles which need to be delivered within the next 4-6 weeks which is no good for me.

In terms of charger and electricity costs, you'll be saving a fortune.
If you're having a charger installed at home, the highest rating you'll get is 7KW (or 11KW if you happen to have a three-phase supply - industrial only usually). Chargers are anywhere between £500-1000 depending on the type.
Electricity costs depends on your tariff. If you can get on an EV tariff you'll get it for 7-9p/kwh depending on who you go with. Works out to around £250 to do your 10k miles (250miles to a charge, £6 per charge on a 7.5p/kwh tariff).
You'll save more than £3,500 a year in fuel alone. You're probably looking at saving £5k a year just in running costs, never mind the mentioned tyres and servicing.
Providing an EV would work for you. Your daily mileage etc. It works for me and it works for a lot of people, but depends on your circumstaces as to whether it will work for you.

Right now from Tusker, on a 4 years deal, 5000 miles, I would be paying £519 net (£838 gross) with an estimated lead time of 48 weeks.
