I’d hold off until later in the year, prices can only go one way and looking just now GTS for £95k or more those are going to drop in value soon, especially with V2 improvements.
v2 GTS won't be out until next year.

And sticker prices are negotiable smile

Don't forget that they've already dropped a fair bit.

There are very few cars out there that don't depreciate. There are no fast saloon/estates that don't. If you wait a couple of years I reckon you might get a mk1 GTS for 50k, maybe even 40k. If you wait longer...

Some industry insight into the Taycan issue and why dealers are stashed out with them.

"Industry insight" biggrin

Clickbait ste that says more about the modern prediliction for having to have new shiny to prove one's worth than it does about anything else.

I'm taking a painful lesson...

Bought a CT 2021 Turbo S, Spec was half decent in November 2023 for 101k with 10k miles, thought at the time being that the car was only just over 2 years old and having lost Circa £60,000 it was a sensible purchase at 101k..

Moving the car on is no issues however, best bid is 76k!!! with the car doing just over 1000 miles since i bought, the dealer will put 10k spread on plus the usual cost of warranty so lets say 88k on a forecourt.

Life lesson here for myself.. Shame as the Taycan is such a great car, where has it all gone wrong i do wonder??

Sorry, but if it is such a great car when you bought it 3 months ago, why are you wanting to sell it now?

Surely you bought it thinking you would be in it for 2-3 years?

My guess is that in another 3 years you will still be bid £50k on it, even with 50k miles added.

Of course maybe financial circumstances have changed and you need to get out? But my mate is now desperate to get out of his because it has lost so much in the last few months, but why? Just ride it out, these are going to get to a price point where they are seriously desirable used and firm right up.

His has dropped from £80k bids a few months back to £46k being the best now, but even if it drops to £30k over 2-3 years so what? He was thinking it would be worth £30-35k after 4 years, and I bet it still is.
I can't see any point jumping out after 2 years just because it has lost £34k in a few weeks. He was sort of expecting it to be at that point after 2 years anyway.
I think a lot of it is panicking that it is going to lose as much going forward, I just can't see it.

The Taycan isn't a car it's a bit of tech. And tech becomes redundant very quickly, especially in the early stages when there are large development jumps.

The other issue is that most buyers are purchasing new for the tax incentives through their business, so very few people want a second hand £100k car that is already 'old tech'.

Sorry but when it’s 5-6 years old with 60k miles, no clue as to the health of the battery and old tech I don’t think you are going to be bid £50k.

Surely this is where trade bids are likely to be at in this price point.

For example there is a 71 plate RRS near me up for £82k; however WBAC bids are £53k.

If you need shot quickly maybe the dealer you purchased it from would be interested.

The GTS seems to have a significant premium over used Turbo and Turbo S models. Is a used Turbo the bargain pick of the range on the used market?

You bought from a dealer and are selling back to a dealer in around 3mths?

That is indeed a lesson.

There is nothing wrong with the Taycan. It's still a great car - that bit hasn't changed. Someone may get to experience that for 13k less than you did 3mths ago. Assuming they keep it more than 3mths, they'll very likely have some great times with the car.

Very few cars are going to serve you well if you trade in after 3 months. There’s no lesson to learnt here, just an age old problem. Only by a car you want to own and drive.

Engage brian before speak.. Sidsw

You couldn’t be further from the truth..

Selling simply due to ultra poor return on mileage from a full charge, it doesn’t suit my needs and I cant bear waiting around to charge on public so I’ll go back to a hybrid..

Simple as that… Sidsw do you want my number hun?? As you can’t refrain from your usual dribbleyou spout on a daily

I don't think it's Sid you've got to worry about, it's more likely to be everyone that would say that they get 300 miles from thiers all year round and it only costs them 1p each time

I’ve had a all model of Taycans, C4S/Turbo/GTS/Turbo S

By far the best on miles was the GTS I would get Circa 260-270 everyday all day on a full charge.. I’m not bitter really in regards to the financial loss as I did go eyes wide open, I suppose I Diddnt release the market would change so quickly, and, along with not knowing where the bottom will be…

You've had all models of Taycan and yet in your latest one you traded it back to a dealer for a humping because it wasn't fitting your mileage requirements....

And you got 260-270 miles (one presumes those are the units?) "everyday all day on a full charge" out of a GTS....

Right oh.
