Northumberland 250
Discussion
Great trip over the weekend - 3 on bikes and me passengering in sons Clio 200 (what an impressive machine). Decided to leave the Elise at home.
Even though Northumberland is my home County I'd not realised how big it is and how little of it I know. Had a great overnight in Seahouses with excellent fish and cheaps and beers in The Ship, though it was bloody cold when we got there - the dreaded sea fret. Otherwise superb weather and a brilliant mini road trip with some superb roads (a detour at the end as my pals from down country had never done Haydon Bridge to Melmerby).
All in all a superb weekend.

Has this actually got fun fast corners roads or more for sightseeing?
Fair to say it's a bit of a tourist route to showcase the county but there are some great road sections as well, especially over into the Borders after we missed out the toll road. There are also some great roads in the North Pennines, and you can take in Hartside if you like though that involves a depature from the official route. I enjoyed Alnwick to Otterburn too via RothburyGassing Station | Roads | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
