Some final photos (sorry Jon!) for this year after a wash before hibernation until April or so

The bodywork (paint) looks to be in fantastic condition for an 18 year old car. I particularly like the first photo.
Do you get lots of interest from the neighbours, or have they got used to seeing it now? What about any young lads, do they bring their friends around for a look see?

What's the plan between now and April in terms of your winter storage - will you just stick in on a Ctek until then or will you start it regularly, get it up to temperature, move it in & out the garage to change the tyre positions &/or do any other work?

I don't have any expert advice as to what is best but did all the above when winter storing cars in the past.

I would leave the handbrake off to ensure it doesn't seize over the winter (if possible on these e-gear cars). I leave mine in gear (manual 911) but you can use a couple of blocks of wood to chock a wheel.

I do this, might roll it forwards and backwards a few times to change the tyre position. But I don’t start my car unless it’s getting the oil up to temp not just water. I always thought running it for running sake was pointless/ did more harm than good.

It’s only a Toyota V6 in the back of my Exige though. Could probably sit it on the rev limiter all through winter and it would still be fine come March!

I echo what every one else is saying. Lambo looks great!

Thanks all, really appreciate it. Also, it still gets admiring looks from everyone, and have even had people follow me to the shops to ask me for a photo of their son/daughter in/near it - which I'm always more than happy to allow. Neighbours wise, I think the novelty has now worn off but delivery day was certainly something I'll never forget!

And the colour is much better in real life too, as it's pearlescent whereas the photos look as though it's flat yellow.

And yeah, it'll just be connected to my CTEK until the weather improves.

I've never done it but some people seem to think brimming the tank before a lay-up is a good idea, as well as over-inflating the tyres to prevent getting any flat-spots on them.

Still looks stunning anyway. thumbup

I've heard a few things although with it only being a few months I just left 60 miles in the tank and left the tyres alone - it's suited me well in the past (coincidentally with the Toyota V6 someone has mentioned they have, in the rain to as opposed to a nice warm garage!)

When I put my Carrera to bed, brimming the tank always seems like a good idea right up until you think about the cost of filling an 80 litre tank !

Tyres are an issue and I always used to jack mine up for the winter, but find they do 'barr' round after a few hard miles

Very nice OP! Brother ubbs has the same car/colour although his is a manual, hard to believe it’s 20 years old next year!

Ferraris have come and gone way back to the F430 manual he had back in 2014, followed by a 458 spider.. the 488 was purchased beginning of this year. He won’t part with the gallardo.

Again, no actual car update but a mate of mine recently bought me this which now sits on top of a Gallardo sales brochure:

Plans for the actual car are likely going to be a Larini backbox and 200-cell cats in the summer
