MG ZT 260 4.6 V8
Discussion
Another update. Since my last posting I've fitted two new rear tyres and then this week, due to the sudden onset of a loud whining noise, it's had a re-conditioned alternator fitted plus a new bearing in one of the wheels the belt runs over. This was done by M & G in Bradford, who were excellent as usual. There were three ZT 260's there today which is a rare sight.
Now I've had the car over 2 years I think it'll be up for sale in a few weeks. It's got under my skin, I only planned to keep it a year originally but instead of selling it last year I bought a Lotus instead. This time I've got a hankering for an Alfa GT V6...
The ZT will be a hard act to follow. Hopefully I can sell it to another enthusiast but there does seem to be a glut on the market right now for some reason?

Well I've still not written the ad, but I've at least taken some photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/giveitfish/sets/7215...
Thinking of asking £6250 for it.

Well I said I was in no hurry....
I took my time lowering the price (I could be the definition of a reluctant seller here) and the phone didn't really come alive until I was under £5k.
Now have a deposit left, so all being well the beast will be with a new owner shortly.
It's been an unusual selling experience, even compared some of the other niche cars I've had. Everyone who's enquired about the car has been an enthusiast in one way or another, most already owning a fleet of MG Rovers. Also not a single enquirer has been any less than a 3 hour drive away!

Well that's my time with a 260 over!
Fresh MOT on Thursday (no advisories) then collected by Mark from Cumbria today, who was driven here by his dad in his MGB so MG is in the family.
By all accounts #97 is off to be a cherished weekend car which is just what I hoped for after all the miles I've put it through in all weathers.
It's been a great experience, really enjoyed the whole V8 thing and it's certainly been the rarest and most unusual car I've owned while all the time looking like the least unusual
