I spotted one today driving through St Andrews in Scotland, in the launch Blue colour.

My word what a stunning piece of kit. Genuinely one of the best looking new cars I've seen in a long time. It's very McLaren GT from the rear but has a lot more presence.

So I've had my car for two months now. Had niggles with parking sensor which meant it had to back to the dealer. They sent someone over from the factory as they are very keen to avoid any quality issues which is a good sign.

Overall it drives most like a GT car but feels much lighter. Its feels like a cross between the Guilia QF and an Alpine A110s. It gets the right sort of attention and the feedback from people at car events has been very positive. I've taken into central London and also a few laps on Silverstone GP so far smile

Positives - its stupidly quick and the engine makes a great sound in the car. Brilliant fun to drive in the various modes.

If I was being very critical I'd say the tyres are a weak point. The car is not set up at all for track and suffers from understeer. The wireless charger works when it feels like it and the remote access app has also failed and I can't get it to restart. Petrol tank is tiny and the boot is also very small so not a car for a Euro road trip with your wife!

So it doesn’t drive/feel like an F8 or 720s? Strange, I was expecting that it would seeing as it’s a mid engined two seater with over 600 bhp. Thanks for the feedback .

Very interesting…ties in with what I expected from reviews, though yet to try one. Planning to in next few weeks.

I actually have a Guilia (GTA) and an Alpine atm, and am tempted by this as an upgrade to the Alpine next year.

I can certainly see a lot of resemblances to the Alfa controls, wheel etc, and I prefer the idea of a GT car to be used instead of something more hardcore. Overall the GTA is brilliant, this seems to have a lot of the DNA.

Funnily enough I’ve just swapped out the Cup2 on the Alfa for PS4S in order to make it more useable in all weathers, as have long trips planned. Lose a tiny bit of sharpness on the road, no doubt more on track, but much better ride and much less aqua planing! Still handles very well, and no plans to track. Will definitely keep it on these.

The small petrol tank sounds like another shared part! That’s my biggest (or smallest..j complaint.
58l tank, but the warning lights come on very early and last time I filed up on red warning, there were still 7l in tank. Makes the safe range c200 miles which is a pain in the neck!
And you can’t just assume there’s plenty left as in my experience both Alfas and Ferrari has same issue in running on low fuel - the warning lights come on and they go into safe/limp mode.

We have the same taste in cars smile I'm waiting for the GTA to arrive next month but I've had a QF Nring for 3 years. I daily an Alpine S. The MC20 if a very easy car to get along with. If you are used to the lack of space of the Alpine then you will love it.

I've never driven a 720 or an F8 (but I have a 599) and feedback from passengers who have driven or sat in these cars (as well as GT3's) is that the MC20 is a lot more refined without losing any of the performance. The reviews I have read come to a similar conclusion. I guess it depends what you are looking for, if you want to have a more hardcore driving experience with a massive amount of noise (and attention) then its probably not the right car. Personally, I prefer a car that is quieter and draws attention for its pure design than its aero or carbon bits.

Very similar! I had 2x Quadrifoglios before the GTA, you will notice a big (positive) difference.

I'm going to have a go in one next week, back to back with a Roma. Interesting to see what it's like.
Very unlikely to prefer the convertible personally, so waiting for that isn't an issue.

So, had a brief test drive, not enough to get the full picture (same applies to all test drives..), but enough to really like it.

It does remind me of a big Alpine in a good way - very user friendly, feels light, rides well and very responsive.
It's not got too much power to make it unusable, but still fast enough. It rained quite heavily but still felt planted felt very secure.
As has been said, it would make a great supercar for doing GT things. (Could definitely use some more boot space though, and the front space is pretty unusable).

Will very likely order one for next year, perhaps the Cielo (spider) which is launched later today, but that depends if it has any luggage space left at all!

Think you'll like it D.
Yes, interior could be more exciting/luxurious, but it's very accessible performance and seems like it will be a great road car from my brief drive.
Not much storage, so it's sausage rolls on the passenger seat I'm afraid
