Looks like I'm going to be upgrading my Fiat Seicento Sporting to a 320i (poss. SE) and I'd be interested to hear everyone's views on which I should go for.
For my budget (c.£3k), I think I can get a half decent E30 320iSE, but I'm not sure if I could stretch to a good E36. Does anyone out there have any tips or advice - having owned a funny little Fiat my knowledge of decent cars is pretty thin!

Although I can't buy a car until November (when I'm 25 and insurance companies will now consider me as a customer), I've started looking and although I like the idea of an E36 320i SE, I'll probably go for a 318 - an iS coupe if I can find one.
I'm also hoping that I can stetch my budget to something nearer £5k by the time Santa fills my tights and for that sum I think I could get a half-decent motor. Now I just need to get myself a Demon Tweeks catalogue...
