Is anyone running a high mileage 200k plus M57 3.0d used in the 335d 535d, 635d, 7 series etc?

What’s the highest mileage anyone has run one of these models to?

If anyone has/is......how often would you do an oil change?

I’m just about to hit 200k in one. Servicing at approx 5k miles, same it’s about a £80 job inc labour. So seems ideal preventative maintenance. I wonder if any U.K. owners have put 300k on one?

My 535d is on 144k (so not as high as you're asking about) but still going strong. Removed the swirl flaps and replaced both engine and EGR thermostats when I bought the car on 130k as a preventative measure.

I change oil twice a year, which usually works out around every 3-4k miles for me. I know it's probably overkill but I have a mobile mechanic that does it cheap so I'd rather have the peace of mind instead of doing long-life intervals.

E46 ’03 330d here – bought at 77K Mine’s on 198,500 today, Stuff required so far…
EGR thermostat
Water thermostat
Harmonic balancer pulley
Glow plugs
Injector seal
Swirl flaps delete
Boost controller thingy x 2
Oil changes every 6,000
New coolant every year
All apart from the glow plugs and injector I did myself.
Town work and local driving - 40 mpg, commute to wok – 44. mpg, motorway @ 70-75 – 48+ mpg
Uses about “half a dipstick” (between low and max) between oil changes.

I don’t have the highest mileage one by any means, but I bought a 2012 x5 diesel in December 2021 with 110k, currently at 120k. Needs turbos now?????
I think 5k or 6k oil changes can really help. Mines on 208k now. Ready for another service.

190k not bad, there is something about looking after a car and putting big miles on it. I have friends with nice car who don't drive them as they don't want to put any miles on them...

I'll hopefully put another 10,000 miles on mine in the next 4 months before it sold..

E60 535d on 190k miles.
Serviced every 10-15k miles since new (I have FSH).

Recently:

Wheels refurbed
New front bumper painted and fitted (I hit something and cracked the bumper)
New wiper arm mechanism.
CCC unit (idrive) sent away and returned back fixed (Revtronic)
Serviced
DPF cleaned out
Vacuum hoses changed

Car is off road and being diagnosed today - little to no power at 3k rpm and performance from the first turbo I would describe as dull or blunt. It had come up with something to do with back pressure when checked at MOT.

Yep. Will start to pay attention to crank bearings. Otherwise engine is solid since its first m57 revision and should be alright till 800k.

M57 was and still is able to hit 6 figures smile
800k miles? Mines just clocked 245,000 miles. 2009 model 635d
