Thought that AutoTrader one had sold? Mine sold within a day but could have held out for more.http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

It's the 1st car I posted on this thread, for sale originally by Ariel for £54K
Then Benyarmin had it, flipped it on at £59K, now a guy called Chris has had it for a few weeks .
Not that Iam following them or anything
I paid £57k from Ariel (as advertised) and sold for a little more. Car was lovely but didn't compare with the Atom and hence I decided to sell. Was an itch I had to scratch and not bought to flip as such. Then Benyarmin had it, flipped it on at £59K, now a guy called Chris has had it for a few weeks .

Just to add to your list Lighty, my Nomad is also now sold.
Sold to a buyer on the factory waiting list so never made it to the factory site.
It went over list, removing commission (factory sale) I got out even. I felt I needed to go through factory as I wanted to secure the Mugen they have (dream car for me). So that's it, sale done. Nomad box ticked, great toy, more useful than an Atom but in my mind not as iconic, and I really really missed the 2.0
At least I'm staying in the family.

Here is another, seems that certain cars go around & around .
Would imagine a few will pop up over the winter. Mine is going nowhere for now, hoping to get some snow to use it in

The basic caliper includes a built in handbrake. The Alcon is just a caliper, no handbrake facility so if you want a handbrake you have to buy a second handbrake caliper. You can buy just the Alcon upgrade but then the car cant be road registered.
Bit of a thread resurrection but this comment got my interest. Had my Nomad for just over a month now (Dec 2016 build/ registration).I completely didn’t notice when I viewed and bought it but it doesn’t have any handbrake. It has the Alcons all round but no additional mechanical handbrake or hydro one.
It is road registered, had a number plate from new, never had a comment at MOTs and was one of Ariel’s own cars.
If it is a legal requirement or something to have one do you think I’d get anywhere asking for a bit of goodwill from the factory on fitting?
Don’t want to sour my relationship with the factory straight off on my first service but would be nice if I didn’t have to pay the £1k to retrofit something that they should have fitted at build by law.
As far as I'm aware having a handbrake is a legal requirement, and something would normally be tested at MOT. Whether you can find a lenient tester is another matter. Ariel have the ability to bolt a handbrake to their car when testing, so that's perhaps how it got through the previous MOT.
As for goodwill getting it fitted, you can ask, but I doubt it. When ordering a new Nomad it's not standard fit, and is an optional extra, so it's not that they've removed something which is standard.
FYI, mine was fitted after built, at a cost of ~£1600.
Hope that helps.
