Oh, that's cool. Do you not get signal problems with an imported phone?
Apparently the problems mainly arise with LTE/4G phones as support isn't general, but the 4S isn't a LTE/4G device anyway. In general, reception is pretty poor but the retailer here said it was the nature of the phone.

That's really good to know! If I were to import an iPad, would it work out much cheaper? In general, reception is pretty poor but the retailer here said it was the nature of the phone.

I tried to order from them but they said they would not ship to the UK. So I've bought from mermobiles.com there is a large price difference between them but they offer insurance and a two year warranty so I've gone with them. One slightly worrying factor is that that the order did not appear to go through so I repeated the steps. Now it looks like I've bought 5
That's a bit rubbish of Flipkart isn't it? So through teething troubles in the purchase process of Merimobiles.com you've managed to spend north of $2700 with them!! Plus it adds £150 to the price. What are your plans for the remaining 4?
I will wait until they've landed because until I know what they owe me I'm not sure. They were supposed to ship yesterday but the order still says unfulfilled. If it's the same tomorrow I will just buy one and wait.
EDIT: Cancelled all orders due to total non-response since the 2nd; yet they are happy to take your hard-earned and the order does not process. Thank God for Paypal! Going to try the direct approach with Lenovo UK and ask if they can help.

Did you get anywhere with Lenovo?
I'm in the market for a pair of large format phones (me for fun, wife for work reasons).
I'm stuck between LG G3, Sony Xperia Ultra, Lenovo or possibly Nexus 6 if it turns up.
I settled for the LG G3. Fantastic phone, great screen, easy to use, got soem great little features (being able to piss the OH by using phone to turn tv off is one ) and it looks great. I'm in the market for a pair of large format phones (me for fun, wife for work reasons).

Did you think about AliExpress (or Alibaba at least)? Still coming out around the £400 mark which isn't bad.EDIT: Cancelled all orders due to total non-response since the 2nd; yet they are happy to take your hard-earned and the order does not process. Conversely, how did discussions with Lenovo UK go?
As you may guess, I like this handset and am looking for a way to get hold of one.
Truth be known, I've bottled out. Tried both of the Chinese and Indian sellers and received a monumental experience of ineptitude; as said previously, thank God for Paypal!
I'm left with my Oppo Find 7 and I'm very pleased with it. I've got it rooted now and have been trying different firmware (not done this before on a new phone) and the recovery is very fast - almost dual boot going between the two.
The plan is I will wait till the new year and see if I can purchase one at a slightly more reasonable rate for evaluation. If it still floats my boat I will revisit a small trade order and see how it goes but by then I will have missed the 'new kid on the block' boat. The big problem is that mobiles are fashion. You don't want to be holding a pile of out-dated handsets when the latest and greatest is suddenly released
I've got sticky fingers in a lot of small pies at the moment and need to shift some other stock before I can make a firm purchase. I've also enquired with Oppo for a trade deal but their phones are selling at a constant rate (apparently) and the quantity discounts are negligible unless you are looking at contract volumes. I also had a play with the Note 4 and was smitten by the wow factor, however, the endless pre-installed apps reminded me of why I went for the Oppo as it doesn't have half as many. I guess there are several specifics that we look for in a phone and that is a personal choice. I'm not about to trade my Oppo for a Note 4 in other words
