Anyone recommend a cordless Car Vac? For those nooks and crannies, down the side of the seat etc. Dyson looks handy with all the attachments but expensive considering it wont get used much. Cheers

Don't the Dysons have a very short battery life?

My advice - assuming you can run a mains cable to your car - is to not bother and to simply get a second Karcher cheap vac to leave in your garage. I think mine was £50.

I did have a B&D cordless vac which was convenient but still a bit of a toy.

Better than any cordless vacuum cleaner.

Better than a Dyson (well, quieter anyway).

Can get one for only £99 if you shop around.

Comes with a nice range of attachments too.

We have a Vax Gator 10.5v great for 10 minutes then starts to die.
For the car I always use the house "Henry" as the suction is a lot better.

Dyson used to do 2, one with a 4 minute battery life the other with 8 minutes
I bought the latter 2 years ago and its brilliant,
Powerfull suction and 8 mins is ok, also very useful round Sykes Towers

Another vote for Henry. thumbup
Excellent suckage and very robust.

I've had several rechargeable vacuums over the years and they were all crap - not enough suction, poor battery life and didn't last long.

There was a cordless one recommended on a thread here very recently, about £60 on Amazon. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to fill in the blank.

Could be quite handy if like me your cars don't live near a power socket!

That's the one I had. It was OK.

Got one of these as well. Much better than similar one's we've had before. More power and better built.

A few years ago I bought a Dyson DC16, and yes you're right the battery was not that good. After a couple of years it went phut so I got an aftermarket battery from Amazon. It now has twice the use time and is a a useful bit of kit with real suction. Wouldn't be without it.

Interesting as I have a dying DC16 battery. Do you have a link to the exact battery you bought?

Cheers all, no power in the garage so it has to be cordless. Might have to give the dustbuster a try.
