They basically invented a conflict of interest charge against her, every team on the paddock said they hadn't complained and had no problem with her and then the FIA dropped it.

Thanks 580TORQUES. He was funny last vid. I will save that for Fri am when my head hurts - off for a 9-ball competition with friends, beer and, depending on how I flourish, how much sitting out will influence the stagger home smile .

I wonder if Piginapoke could oblige with with a new thread. It should start with one of those Polls he does so well. The thread title should be: What's going to be the next scandal to hit F1?

Ideas for what should be included, please.

F1 has always been bent. Different ways, different people, same outcome. Same with FIFA, UEFA, IOC and others, anywhere where money meets influence.

She's quite rightly pissed and has had no answers. Untrue allegations made to the media to slur her and Toto.

A simple google will show you who made the allegations without evidence and launched the investigation, that every party and the FIA said there was nothing in it

every party did not say there was nothing in it.

The Wollfs denied the allegations, as you might expect.

The TPs denied making a complaint, but none stated the allegations were unfounded. Indeed it was Wollf's big mouth at a TP meeting which alerted other teams to the problem.

Merc/Wollfs threaten legal action. Allegations dropped/dismissed.

The cynic in me is starting to feel like Liberty is just behind everything to whip up an F1 frenzy.

No publicity is bad publicity, right?

Given Max has already got the season wrapped up on the track maybe Liberty should move this years championship to the courts, it will end up there anyway

Not really a huge shock..... They have the money to spend to get the answers and if that happens to upset certain applecarts, well that might not upset them too much either...

I'm beginning to think that Liberty's ownership of the F1 rights will destroy the whole thing.

You may have a point. I'm beginning to yearn for a return to the good old days, when Bernie was pulling the strings...

Bernie's roots were in motoring and motor racing - not media management or media ownership, although he ended up doing those things later.

For all his faults (and he had very many faults) he was always concerned about keeping F1 going as a sport.

I don't think Liberty give a flying monkeys about that.

48 hour investigation the FIA concluded neither party had a case to answer.

Every one of the other nine F1 teams issued a statement confirming they had made no complaints about information being passed and expressing unanimous support for the F1 Academy.

Hamilton condemned the allegations, Mercedes, the Wollfs...

Again, piss poor management, an apology at the time would probably have gone a long way, but shes had nothing

yes, that's right. Every party did not say there was nothing in it; the teams denied making the complaint, as I previously said. Please do keep up at the back.
