She got some real stick, had her story pulled to pieces by me and others, then Dibble turned up with a pair of handcuffs. It turned out one of relatives is a Senior BMW person so they got dragged in as well. Someonse else turned up who works for SAGA hehe and then she deleted all her posts.

Effectively she came on here and completely contradicted everything she'd told SAGA on a public forum, and then got the hump when we outed her for being the scheming lying madam she is.

I don't think her Dad would be too pleased with the fact that he's implicated in fraud and will now have all his insurance cover withdrawn!!

Weapons Grade Cockery.
Cheers me dear. I read the bit on her first thread where she said she'd wrecked her P&J and was looking for cars to replace it with, and I was wondering how that reconciled with "it's my dad's car and I never drive it, like, ever". Cool that the person working for SAGA should turn up, you have to love PH!! hehe

The thread should be resurrected as an example to young people everywhere who are tempted to do the same thing. yes Oh, and because I want to read it all now. wink

Maybe we should have another hidden forum - "Deleted threads for nosey parkers". rofl

Suprised it got pulled. It would seem to me that deleting the thread is an obstruction of justice. Both in the legal and moral sense.
I dare say Pistonheads keep deleted threads around if they think the police might be interested in their contents.

I'm still continued.

Can someone break down what happened in bullet format, like:

Woman insured as 'main driver' on daddys car

Woman totalled it and tried to claim on insurance

Insurance work is on this forum and busted her

She deleted her threads and fecked off in embarassment.

...Or is that just about it?

OK Heskey here goes;
> bint buys car
> bint paid below market value as her brother was senior person at dealers
> bint couldn't afford insurance so daddy insured it for her
> bint broadcasted how she loved her car
> bint totalled car
> bint concerned day after that insurers might try and not pay out
> next day insurers say insurance void as daddy not owner or registered keeper
> bint very upset and claims all a mistake, she paid for it as daddy doesn't have a bank account but really daddys car.
> bint ripped to shreds big time by PH massive

Here's the scoop.

1. She posted a week ago (with big colour photos) that she'd wrecked "her" pride and joy that "she'd" got on the cheap from a BMW dealer (see 5). She also posted up pictures of the M3 "she" was going to buy for "herself" with the insurance money. Effectively shes giving it the "bertie big potatoes" about whether to get an M3 or a RR Sport with the fat settlement she's going to get.

2. Last night she posted up for help, as SAGA have told her to poke her claim for £20,000 up her ar5e, as they believe her to be the main driver. Which of course she is. Or was.

3. She says that's not fair, becuase it's ACTUALLY her Dad's car all along, and she is a named driver who never used the car. Enter Jimmy Hill stage right.

This is despite the fact of (1) above, and the fact that her name is on the log book and finance documents (this because her Dad doesn't have a bank account and can't get finance.)

Cue Itchy belm, chinny chin chin chinny reckon... etc..... Animal noises and hooting and braying.

4. Dibble turns up and posts handcuffs. Flemke turns up and accuses us of being the "peanut gallery" rofl

5. Someone works out who her relative is, and from which BMW dealer. So he's in the sh t for selling cars to female realtives at a massive discount and is likely to be fired.

6. Someone well known on here turns up, who works for the same group of companies as SAGA Insurance for the Terminally Bewildered.

7. Our hero deletes all her posts and cries a lot.

8. I tell her to get a grip, and explain to her that she is going to have no new car, she'sll have to pay for the damage she caused to what she hit, and to her mates for their injuries, and that she's going to get done for no insurance and get banned.

9 I wish her good luck at Aldi.

10. Thread deleted by the powers that be (god bless them all.)

Well done everyone, it really galls me when I hear of people fronting their insurance. I always advise those I hear of doing it that it's illegal, but the general opinion of most people is that since the insurance company has 'let them do it' that it's ok, and I'm talking rubbish/jealous of their amazing car.

I think that it would be beneficial if there was something included in the driving theory test about this so that everyone would have to answer a question about it. That way it might reduce the number of people that do seem to do it without knowing that it's not ok. Much like there are some easy questions in the ARDS written test that seem to be there to confirm you know your responsibilities rather than to actually make you safer on track.

When I passed my driving test my Mum attempted to do put me as a named driver on her car, but as my father had passed away very recently and she therefore had two cars, it was explained by our insurance brokers that we couldn't (or shouldn't) do that and I ended up with my own policy. As it turned out I did become the main driver of the car, though that was possibly prompted by my having the policy in my name so I was allowed to use it as my car rather than borrow it each time.

-Edit to say- I take it it is illegal, rather than very very naughty.

Illegal, and not very clever either. Because not only do you not build up an NCD of your own, you also get "your" policy voided if you damage the car. Which would be a Very Bad Thing. yes

Besides which, most people have to cough up large amounts of money for their insurance. Why do some people think they're somehow "special" and shouldn't have to fork out like everyone else? You want a big, fast car, you pay for the insurance. You can't afford the insurance, you hold off on buying big, fast car until you can. Not really rocket science.

I only caught a bit of that thread last night (3 pages or so) and I was really looking forward to seeing the next instalment this morning! And she's even deleted her posts here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...frown
Just to add if thats the same person then we have another case of foot-in-mouth syndrome over a Honda engine...
