Mine was an H404, the power was slightly more.
That graph is the solid 404 which is fitted now, it reduced power slightly but increased torque!
I dont know much about cams but i thought going to solid lifters allowed a better top end but yours was reduced?? Confused??That graph is the solid 404 which is fitted now, it reduced power slightly but increased torque!

One day I might advance the cam by 4 degrees which should move everything up.
BTW, Rob was confused also.

Mmm, PITA, lot of work, will that increase the numbers or just move them up the rev range?
Don't know.As you say, a lot of work for an unknown.
As is I bettered my time on the drag strip by nearly 2/10s of a second.
Car also feels mega fast on the road as the midrange is so awesome, (hate that word but it is!).
Else ,
have you ever measured the inlet vacuum at each cylinder on the dyno ? i wonder whether the plenum diameter is restricting the rear cylinders . a barb on each runner conected to a well damped gauge might show if this is happening at high rpm.
just a thought,might be nonsense.

^^ I think that's a very good idea .. I'm not a fan of the twin plenum that's being used (although it is beautifully made), but I think the design was suggested by a well respected v8 engine tuner. The more usual design for a plenum that feeds all 4 cylinders more evenly would be to have a reducing volume from front to rear, and a large total volume to slow the air down for pressure recovery to happen. I can't see that happening in the OP's plenum, but I'll keep an open mind as I haven't done any specific testing on that, it's just what's posted around on the web about plenum designs.
