I think that there must be something wrong with me, because I actually like that exhaust set up!

BMW deserve credit for trying something different. I'm glad there are people that like it, it's boring when all the cars look the same. I like the standard quad pipe set up but you see it on so many cars these days.

There's probably a case for a 'more is less' approach when speccing the M2, but if that exhaust was on the latest Ferrari, we'd all be saying it was great.

I agree that BMW should at least get some credit for being brave enough to try something different and in the time we've had ours, I can't recall ever receiving as much positive interest in a new car.

Surprisingly a lot of people also seem to like Zandvort blue as well, although for me, the original 5 colour choices were a bit limited.

Would be really interested to see the back box arrangement for that behind the aesthetic tail pipes; I’m struggling to think of any functional advantage but could be wrong.

I think this is a case of form over function

Saw a blue one today; from the front it looks mean, from the rear still yikes

I'm tempted to agree with you... I think the 240 is possibly the better looking car in certain angles but the wider arches and stance of the M2 gives it that aggressive look but of course driving them is another thing, I really can't stop smiling in the Manual M2..drivingthumbup

No criticism of you, but it doesn't seem to be selling and the price has dropped considerably. It's not a pretty thing by any means.

will be interesting what happens with standard M2 values when the Competition Pack launches Q3 this year and what that will bring?... I would love to see more colour choices and a hark back to some classic colours like Techno Violet and Estoril Blue. Probably wishful thinking though

Power hike to 510 bhp (as M3/4 LCI is now 530 bhp. Interesting if xDrive will be offered but doubt it

Out for lunch today in Llandeillo South Wales spotted M2 in Grey parked up , elderly gentleman standing looking at the car shaking his head and laughing at the design !!

Turned out this chap has owned some really interesting cars over the years including ex Paddy Hopkirk Cooper S , couple of early Porsche and a Renault 5 turbo 2 which was his favourite that he really regrets selling.

Gentleman thinks that BMW have lost direction and the M2 summed it up .
Got to say I agree it’s an awful looking “M” car and the Grey is terrible.

Perhaps some classic M colours would help the looks but I doubt it.

If it’s anything like the M4 update prices will continue to rise.

I get you don't like it you've made that clear that's your perogative but equally many do that's why we all don't drive the same car. I think Awful is far too strong I saw a black one on the M40 last weekend I thought it had a lot of presence, it's not for me but why not be a bit more open minded and appreciative about other peoples choices, I'm sure you wouldn't like others pissing so heavily on your bonfire!!

Like pretty much every M car then? I think the previous M2 was one of the highest selling M models and BMW were still offering massive discounts and 2.9%

I think it very ugly but like the M3/4 it’s probably good enough to drive that you can forgive its exterior horrors.

14 posts on this thread and counting signalling your dislike. Repetitive? Can't express your point succinctly? Or perhaps you start to protest too much? wink
